Lowered the rear 2" last night.

So, the 272720 springs are listed for a 2wd only? Maybe that's why they get a tad lower than the 272920? I too am looking to get my truck even lower than the 272920 springs I have now, but want to make sure these would work. My truck is 4wd though.
I know that the 272720 springs are targeted for 2WD trucks, but as far as actual physical differences between 2WD and 4WD springs they are the same. That said, the spring rate may differ between the two though.

yea, that is what I am wondering too. Can anyone on here say whether they tried them on a 4wd?

I just installed the 272920 on my 21 4WD Ram. This is my first Ram ever and I felt like stock was very smooth and now with these lowering springs I feel like it got a little mushy. It’s not horrible but I’ll wait a few more weeks to see if they are staying on or not.

Here’s a good photo of my truck with the drop. Had 100 miles when installed 😅

it’s riding perfect level but it’s also half an inch from the bump stops so it rides a little rough with more people inside. Not sure what to do next. Thought about cutting the bump stops but not sure if I’ll bottom out the shocks and pop one. Any idea how to lift the rear an inch?

Looks nice! I’m installing -2” springs on the rear next week on my 2WD Laramie. Hope I have more travel than 1/2” above the bump stops. Did you measure and confirm that it only lowered it 2”?

I got 2" drop perfectly. I actually have about 1" space from the bump stops. I just went and installed bags in the springs and removed the bump stops for the moment. All I can say is, I'm loving it! It rides smooth and got rid of that mushy feeling I was getting. That's at 5psi. I loaded it up to 12psi and it felt a little stiffer, but not bad at all so that's where I will run it from now on. I was already contemplating removing the springs and just leaving it stock, but decided to try the bags first. Very happy I did. Now when I hook up my horse trailer or my 18ft trailer it only settles down half of inch and 12psi. I feel like I can throw 600-800 pounds in the back and it will not go down past an inch.

FYI I installed Air Lift 1000 PN 60824. I've ready that these are meant for the Durango or for our trucks with 4 or 6 inches of drop. They are very small bags, but I wanted a bag that didn't fill in the entire area of the spring since I wanted it to have some travel. The top coils collapse when the weight of the truck is on them. I heard somewhere that springs like these have those coils for comfort. The first few coils are for comfort and have a much lower compression rate then the rest of the spring. That's why I went with the smaller bag as I wanted some of the coils to have movement so the ride isn't harsh. I took a chance on them and regretted it when I first bought them, but after install I was extremely happy. Not sure if it's the smaller bags that helped me achieve this amazing ride or if it's just the bag in general that helped me out but it's sweet! Sucks that I work from home so I don't drive her much until the weekends.

Just ordered the 272920 for my 4wd. Do I need an alignment after I install?

Installed 2” lowering springs in the rear and it lowered it 1.25”. I’m happy with that height especially after fitting 295/60-20’s. View attachment 96728
Are those the 295's on there right now? Send another side picture. I want a bigger tire and if they fit and look good, I might go that route.

How you liking the ride as well?

That came out looking good! They might settle another 1/4 inch or less. It's not nothing drastic. I think yours is just as leveled as mine though. Kind of like it that way.
So it’s come down about 3/8 more and I’m happy with it. Rear is about 3/4” higher but tires fill it well I think.

The ride is fine. I had the 285’s on my 2014 Sport and I loved them… 10 ply E rated. That is the current setup in the pic. 5F0FBBDB-144D-490D-8176-593560D2BBDA.jpeg
