and what would it cost me to roll my own night edition if I bought a white limited and wanted to put all of the night edition pieces on there aftermarket? Is it possible? Meeting without major surgery or spending a crap load of money.
So those parents aren't available as they haven't been released yet. The black limited are barely making it on the lots now. I was wanting the all black look on the truck but limited trim. Thankfully they came out with it for 2020 instead of me building up a laramie. It was almost the same cost but I would be missing some of the exclusive limited items.
You could always do aftermarkets dip for parts but it adds up. And they will all say they wish they had the OEM parts as the finish isn't as nice or they don't age well. It's going to be lots of $$$ to replace parts. You can figure out for yourself how much the parts would cost from the dealer. Just tell them you want the standard parts and not black and that would give you a ballpark. These are the parts that are easily replaceable with some mechanical know how.
- Black Tow Hooks
- Black Badges
- Black Headlamp & Taillamp Bezels
- Sport Performance Hood
- Removing Chrome side trim
- Chrome Mirror Caps
These items you'd have to take to a shop to do probably unless you are really skilled.
- Black Exhaust Tips
- Black Window Trim Moldings
- Paint door and tailgate handles
Honestly it's not worth the cost right now. Probably next year or later this year they will replace a night package for the limited as well. It doesn't make financial sense to keep the limited only with black appearance when there is money to be made. They obviously did it with the laramie trim and will do it with the limited as they will have parts to do it.
I think the person that has done the most is user Chado20. Contact him and he could probably give you an idea. He has done an amazing job making his white.
