I haven't pulled the trigger on this yet. I have a lot of other upgrades that I want to do first but we'll see what happens after that. Maybe some will start showing up in salvage yards by then

a few guys have done it...in fact someone was selling a few of the pricier part needed for the swap on ebay for around $250 if you look around a bit.

Center Console Slider Swap (Rebel to Limited)

So, I had been eyeballing this as a possible modification for quite some time and was unsure if it was possible. I posed the question but no one really had an answer, so I just up and did it. I swapped the sliding center console cupholder/tray compartment in my Rebel for a Limited compartment...

So why dont they fit, i was peeking at this for the potential to add the longhorn wood door cupholder setup, since it matches the brown and beige. do our Southwests have different Trays because of the safe?

True statement. Will not fit if you have a console safe.

You would probably have to switch to a console safe that’s made for a Limited like a Lock’er down that has a smaller profile then you can use the limited cup holder door.
