Have you found the "extra" step in the rear to be helpful/useful for access into the truck bed?
No never use it at all......But most certainly like the powered running boards and this is the second truck I have had with powered running boards. They are so veru useful and fold away well with going very low to get in and out of the truck when your disabled.

New HERE, new to RAM'S but not new to pimping my ride!!! I have a white 21 BH and it will be pimped out over the next few months to WHAT I WANT it to be.
Westin Platinum oval black nerf bars.... as they fit the "theme" I am going for....not there YET but a transformation is on the way!!!

Do feel like the steps are wide enough? Like from front of door to back of door kind of thing, not east/west. Those are at the top of my list but I'm concerned because the step looks like it is just the width of the foot well, and doesn't service the whole door area.

They are as long as the area that is not taken up by the seat. One way to put it it's a big step and it's not wasted in a location where you won't naturally enter exit the truck. 20230507_185232.jpg 20230507_185224.jpg

Swapped the BTS OEM boards for something with a lower step. Westin Outlaw Drop Step nerf bars. 3.5" lower to the step than the factory boards (21.25" vs 17.75" off the ground). They tuck in a lot, which some people may not like but I prefer. Very happy with these.

I thought that was a Rubberized Undercoating Spray on product. Nice add. I might just have to get them...

It kinda has that same texture but its a sticker. You can clean it with your choice of glass cleaner so it stays gripy. It does a good job of protecting the paint which is obvious but my 2 L'ill monsters can plant a foot and billy goat right up into the cab with no issues, that is why I bought the kit. Sure one could just get some skateboard grip tape and get the job done. Just understand grip tape will hold dirt and be hard to keep clean.

I recommend them they work and I will set my bias aside and state when my 2yo monster can plant a crock on the door sill and not slip. That should give anyone confidence that this product will aid in ingress and egress without slippage keeping in mind keeping oils and waxes off.

I once hit them with some detail spray and yep they were slick. I wiped them down with some isopropyl alcohol and they went back to being gripy.

I'll grab some more later today. These are the one i had on my phone. They sit fairly flush with my tires from head on view. About 4ish inches of footspace. Wife approved as well!
What brand running boards are these? I'm looking for a set for the cleanup. Please look pretty good. I initially thought of going with something aluminum color because the truck is that silver attention to the boards.

IMO, the Ram boards are the way to go if you’ve got family climbing in and out and especially if the truck is lifted. My understanding is that they’re backward compatible on all 5th gens 🤷🏻‍♂️. They sure improve the looks as well.
