Led tailgate light bar on 25's trailer light errors

My lights are actually typically used for emergency vehicles, I'm just using them for another purpose since they're insanely bright and very sleek look. They are LED. I did not have any tailgate lightbar or anything. I initially just wired my new lights to the trailer wiring since the wiring is right there and easy to access. But the dash errors weren't going to work so I tried wiring to the tail lights instead and that cleared everything up.

Thanks for the info. I'm getting the same errors Kilroy got before his ingenious module fix. I'm not an electrical engineer (let's just say I turn off all power to the entire house to change out a single power outlet), so I'm hoping to find a solution that does not require me to wire my OPT7 into each light.

Just got my '15 Screw Platinum. Had an aftermarket tailgate led light bar (the strip that goes below the tailgate, between it and the bumper) and they plugged it into the trailer wiring harness recepticle in the bumper. When starting the notice comes up on the instrument cluster indicating trailer attached which you can dismiss but this recognition causes a number of features to be disabled like the blind spot intervention and several other things. I cannot find anywhere to override this in the settings and the Ford service guy who I asked to contact Ford to find out if it can be done (not sure he really made a full fledged effort) says they said "no." Anyone know what I can do? If they splice and hardwire will I still get this problem? I don't want to take any chances messing it up but I liked my light bar on my '13 F150 and there weren't these problems--then again it didn't have all these features. Appreciate any/all help.

If you have a '15 Platinum (Ford), OPT7 makes a specific wiring harness that works around the issue you are describing. This is a Ram forum, and OPT7 doesn't to make a specific wiring harness for Rams to correct the same issues we have with our trucks.

OPT7 makes a wiring kit for those that connect to the tail lights that should fix that issue.

Anybody every figure this out? Opt7 60 inch triple bar Sequential with curt adapter... I keep getting "check trailer light."

Received my 10 pack of connectors for the taillights so I can start fabricating my inline connections to the taillights. Hopefully this will eliminate some of the delay in the light bar.
