This is an extremely disappointing development. Several others here have complained about their blue-jeans dying their brand-new "Frost" (light colored) seats blue, still others have complained that their 2019 Ram 1500 leather seats are already wearing out on the outside edges of the driver's seat, just form the normal action of getting into and out of the seats.

The automotive industry has been making leather vehicle seats for several generations now...how on earth did Ram allow their supplier to get this simple, well-proven, well-understood item so terribly wrong?

It has to be a bad batch of material or something because mine are fine and at 2000 miles. I am always getting in and out of that truck within that many miles. This has got to be a bad batch of materials or something. In this case, it's a warranty issue.

Has anyone taken this issue to a dealer yet? My seats are loose as well

They have progressively gotten worse. I’m bringing it in Thursday along for an issue with rough vibrations at idle.

Seat issue here too and, slight vibration at idle also. But I'll wait since I've had two other problems with the truck already

I'm having the same issue and I only have 4300 miles on the truck - it's schedule to go in for oil service @ 5K so all have that looked into and my display theme continues to reset in the dash.

When you all take the truck in for service be sure to check everything over before leaving. I had my first oil change and rotation done and they scratched every wheel. I go back tomorrow to have the "wheel guy" repair them. I might just ***** enough to make them replace the wheels. I didn't buy it with refurbished wheels and don't think I'll be able to accept it.

FYI for all, I used a heat gun to shrink the leather on mine. Came out good

Taking mine in tomorrow for recall, folding mirror clunk and brake groan issue. I will also ask that they take a look at my seat. I am having issues near the front, worried that if it looks like this after 3000 miles that it wont last for the long haul...the honeymoon period is ending with my new truck

Just wondering if it would be normal for the folding mirrors to his windows on retractions?
Mine do it. But I can’t imagine it’s supposed to lol

Guys, when they fold, all of them clunk, but they do NOT hit the windows. Roll down your windows and test and you will most likely hear the thud as well. It is just the 'thud' they make when they reach full retract. Fun fact, you can also push the mirrors outward and they still make that thud noise.

Not saying they aren't hitting for yours, but it's very very misconception that they DO hit the windows when they actually don't. The thud is normal, but they don't actually touch, you can slide a piece of paper between too and test. Though, the easiest way is to just roll the windows down and have a listen.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll try it out
