King 2.5 - Carli, Thuren, or Filthy Motorsports?

Hey All,

19' Ram1500 DT, BigHorn, V8 w/ 4x4.
Already running a ReadyLift UCA and 1.5" ICON dual rate rear spring.
Also running 35" Nittos.

This may be an existing thread already, just couldn't find any threads saying much about Filthy Motorsports.
I am in the market for replacing my front and rear for King 2.5 (front set to 2.5"). Decided not to go with Fox... heart is just set on Kings.
I will not being doing these with the adjusters as I know for a fact I am way to lazy to care about manually adjusting anything.
I've never dealt with any of these company's previously, so just looking for some people with personal experience.

These are my quick research pricing comparisons (before tax and shipping)...
* Filthy Motorsports: $2,605 (includes custom tune)
* Thuren: $2,725 (includes stage 3)
* Carli: $3,260 (comes as-is)

Obviously Carli isn't officially released yet but is still a contender as I am not immediately ordering this system.
I've heard Carli referenced as the "be all end all", which is why I kept it even thought the pricing is way more than the other custom options.
My main driving use is 70% highway/commuter and 30% beach/dunes at high speed. Maybe some occasional trailing in BigBear.
Right now I am not towing anything behind the truck, just loading some dirt bikes in the bed on occasion.
Any comments/recommendations are appreciated!

In my opinion, it sucks Carli is so much more, but to be honest a great shock with an average tune is going to feel average - but a great shock with a great tune like Carli is going to be bad ***. Instead of Filthy Motorsports doing a generic “tune” based on weight and driving style, Carli tunes and tests the truck to get it perfect and maximize every bit of performance out of them. At least if you spend the extra money and get Carli you have the peace of mind knowing you have the absolute best option out there. Carli is also releasing a Commuter System late this year with Fox 2.0 shocks that is supposed to have great on road ride but obviously not as capable off road as the 2.5”. Just another option!

I’ll also say this, my buddy has a new Ram 3500 dually and he did the Carli commuter system with Fox 2.0s up front (with the super heavy high output Cummins) and he said it soaks up bumps so good it’s crazy. He said he purposely speeds up to dips in the road or hits sloped driveways at weird angles just because of how well it absorbs it.

Carli did their research, and it says 2.5" is the best way to go considering the geometry of the RAM DT front suspension on a level type lift. They went to the effort and process to build their kit for more than looks, that's why it is expensive for all the R&D that went into it.

If I had the bucks, that's where I would go. From everything I've seen, if you want the ride to go with the looks, to actually improve off-road ability & street driving, the Carli kits are the best ones out there.

I definitely appreciate the feedback here.
Sounds like if I am investing over $2.5k+ in performance suspension - it's best spent on Carli.
I'll wait for their system to get released Thanks for helping make my mind up!

Unfortunately all the official info I have is "this kit is now in production" aka no longer just a pre-order.
I've been told unofficially they expect 6 to 8 weeks out.

I believe the first batch of kits just started shipping last week. There was a delay with the shocks.

I just got my truck back today from having the Carli Performance kit installed. I haven’t taken it off-road yet, but so far I’m really happy. It has quite a bit less body roll and the compliance over jarring hits (potholes) is better than stock. The ride comfort on road is nearly identical to stock IMO. I had 35x12.5 KO2’s installed at the same time. No rubbing so far after a light amount of trimming.

Correct. That is with the 2.5" King shocks.

That is what I want to know also. I talked to Carli and they said the King performance kit will be stiffer on road than the Commuter kit, but the Kings are obviously way better offroad. I want the most comfortable ride, (on road), for driving back and forth to Phoenix. I'd even buy the Kings if they could tailor them to on road driving.

Honestly going from stock, to Readylift 3.5" spacers, to adding ICON VS 2.0 shocks in the rear, to Carli Kings... hands down Carli Kings is the most buttery smooth ride so far (you'd hope so for the money, right?). Stock was plush, but the Kings just make the truck so incredibly planted and controllable, especially in corners. The stiffness they described... I've put about 200 miles on these Kings in 4 days and I've not had one instance where I thought "wow that was stiffer than I expected" and they're not even broken in yet. Granted my back still needs adjusting from the readylift.... I honestly couldn't imagine ever wanting anything other than these Kings again.

I'm in my peak Winter Season at work right now so haven't been able to touch the dunes yet.

Yeah it definately got bumped in price! I only purchased the Carli King shock package ($3,260) and the Carli front break lines ($220). I just recycled my Readylift UCAs and I already had rear ICON 1.5" Springs

I’m waiting for them to release their Fox option, although I wanted the kings as they have the best overall experience.

Had 2 of their kits on the 4th Gen and it was super crazy the power wagon as well as the 1500 laramie.

I need to wait more as 5K on that + shipping internationally and install will set me at about 7-8K$
