I’m noticing a strange unlock behavior with my RAM and wanted to see if others are experiencing the same thing.

What happens:
Vehicle is set to Unlock Driver Door on first press in the Uconnect settings
If I’ve driven the truck recently or locked/unlocked it within the last little while,
→ One press of the key fob unlocks only the driver door
If the truck has been sitting for a few hours or overnight,
→ One press of the key fob unlocks all doors
After that first unlock, it goes back to unlocking only the driver door again

Has anyone else seen this?

Edit: if it helps narrow anything down…2026 RAM Big Horn

I have mine set to always unlock all doors and it always functions like that so I’m not a help to you. That does seem weird that your truck changes unlock behaviors.

I will try this on my 2026 Bighorn and report back as I have my unlock setting configured the same as you.

@bigtallguy Can confirm same behavior as yours. Unlocked after sitting overnight and all doors unlocked on 1st button press. Re-locked, then 1st button press only unlocked driver door.

@RamCares - @bigtallguy found a software bug if that is the sort of thing you can pass along to the folks who can do something about it.

I just ran into a store for 10 minutes. When I unlocked to get back in, all doors unlocked on the 1st button press. Hmmm.

I noticed the same thing too last night actually. Went into the store for 10-15 minutes and on first unlock press it unlocked all doors.

Hi there, thanks for bringing this to our attention! Feel free to provide us with your current software version so we can take a further look into this for you.

Thank you both for that! We will send this over to our internal team for review. In the meantime, we ask that you contact our UConnect team at (877)-855-8400 for support.

We will also provide an update after the holidays. Thank you!

I called the UConnect team at the number you provided and they weren't at all familiar with the problem we are experiencing. The person explained that they were only equipped to handle UConnect setup, phone pairing, Android Auto/Carplay integration, error messages, and other basic functions like that. I am good to wait until after the holidays to hear back from you on how the internal team review has gone.

We appreciate your patience. We are asking for anyone experiencing this concern to please send us a private message with your VIN so we can further escalate.
