Mine was just the sunroof drain line became unmounted and rattling against cab wall. Mine did not have any drain issues or water intrusion. But I have read people who have had that.

I bought mine truck about 2 hour drive away, one way from my house, Bought with 19 miles on it. Drove it home 141 miles. Quiet, not rattles, all highway driving.

Next day took over to Xtreme truck for Retrax pro electric bed cover, clear bra paint protection and window tint. It was there 2 days. I picked it up around 10 am with about 185 miles. Quiet as a empty church.

Picked up my son, that same day from High school, and he opened every electronic gadget, sunroof, rear window...etc.... When we closed it up about a mile from home, we noticed the creek/rattle noise, but did not happen all the time and not that loud.

Over next week it got worse and louder, to the point put it in reverse or drive and just go 2 MPH it was rattling.

All I can figure is the sunroof drain hose was not completely inserted and locked into channel and with the wind pressure of sunroof being open at 50MPH, maybe pushed it out of place and the rattle started by hitting the cab body.

Even with the Tech not being able to hear it at first and Me having to take him on test drive, I was only at dealer 1 hour and its fixed and gone.

I have noticed many of these in my truck as well - namely, the rattling from the driver side window and the squeaking from center console when pushing down on it - and I also have a creaking/squeaking coming from my steering column, the tailgate squeaks when you push or pull on it, and there are various other small noises that just get annoying since they aren't from expected sources. I'm hoping that when I take it in soon, they'll be able to identify and address all of the issues, because they take away from the enjoyment of driving and from the overall awesomeness of the truck.

I had that tick on the driver's side window area too. Ended up being that black plastic molding around the top of drivers door. I was able to pull it back a bit from the top and insert some foam into the area. Ticking is gone. For now at least.

I too had that same noise. Couldn’t isolate it till I removed all the coins lol. I had a few tape measures in my truck too....and they would rattle on certain bumpy roads.

The only noise/rattle that my 50+ year old ears here presently....is from the passenger sun visor. When I lightly press on the clip in area of it,while truck in motion, noise disappears. One of these days I plan on rectifying it.

Overall, very pleased with the “lack of noise/rattles” in my truck!

Mine too near the passenger sun visor/headliner. Super annoying. It’s a rather simple noise as there is a small Velcro piece between the headliner and the metal roof structure helping support the headliner. Just a small push upward and the noise will go away for some time, but of course it will also come back. Grrr. I’ve yet to remedy it, but I’m thinking of inserting a small piece of folded paper in between the Velcro to create resistance, thus the noise should stop. We..shall... see.

There's another thread on the squeaky console lid. Some are getting it replaced. However, some suggested that a good fist pounding 6-7 times in the top of the console also worked. I can verify this did work and saved me an aggravating dealership visit.

The other culprit on noise for me that sounded like it was coming from the door was actually the trim piece on the bottom of the driver seat and passenger seats. Little piece of foam got rid of it between the trim piece and seat before clipping it back in did the trick.

Interestingly for me, the day I took my truck in, the squeaking stopped. I assume it just worked itself out somehow. If it comes back, at least I know what to do!

My rear window is a disaster with any volume of audio playing open or closed. Sounds like I’m driving an 89 crown Vic with 4 15s and the trunks about to rattle off. I was so excited for the HK sound system but I can’t even enjoy it. Have felt tape on order, hoping I can shim the track but still allow it to open and close...

Anyone figure out a way to correct the center dash speaker squeaking/creaking on the Alpine equipped trucks? I know that’s my only source of in-cabin noise because it stops when I place my hand on it. Only started noticing it when temps started getting above 65-70°F. Normally, for me it would just be a “turn the volume up” fix, but since it’s the speaker cover it gets worse with volume!

It's just the grill? I'd use a bit of cloth tape where the contact points are underneath first. See if that fixes it.

Hi Chanceyj,
We can imagine why this may be frustrating. We recommend having your dealer look into this for you. If you would like any additional assistance, please feel free to send us a private message and we'll be happy to help!

I put some foam tape between the contact points and it seems to be gone but I cant tell for sure due to all the other clicks and ticks from my centre stack lol

This weekend I also pulled out the vents on the driver and passenger side dash by the doors. Super easy to pull off actually and put 1/16" foam tape between the little trim piece and other contact points and then between the vent assembly and the contact points. Its actually helped A LOT towards curing more noises!

That’s a great idea, Wild. Seems like a cheap fix and I’ll have plenty leftover if anything else starts loosening up.

I've used it many times to stop small squeeks and rattles.

Cars have come a long ways in that regards. They've been using better materials that aren't as prone to the irritating ticks. 90s cars were so bad!

Just found that stuff recently when searching for an easy fix for my armrest squeak in the bench seat. Two small pieces of that fabric tape did the trick. Was even able to cut them so small that you can't tell they are there unless you open the lid and look...even got black to match. $5 for no more squeak and 3/4 of the roll for whatever else may come up.

If you have the center console with the bucket seats, there's a TSB for the squeaky console lid. Dealer should replace with the new one no problem. Mine is solid now. Just a thought if you wanted an actual improved design lid.

I ran a bead of black RTV over the rear window defrost wire on the passenger side. If you look, the cord runs in the window channel, and was the source of my vibration when listening to my HK.

Do you happen to have the TSB #?? I can't seem to find it anywhere:(
