i had a squeak from that upper console. Isolated it to where the top of the console meets the bottom metal roof/windshield frame. Squirted a little silicon spray along that edge, no squeak in 8,000 milesI have several rattles and creaks. Since the weather has warmed up here mine have subsided. For the creak from the headliner near the right visor i pulled down the liner enough to get to the Velcro piece squirted a little silicone between the two pieces and put it back together. put a little pressure on the liner until it cured and seemed to fix the problem. it still hold the liner up but isolates the sound. my next big noise source is the center console in the headliner. not sure how to remove it. I guess Ram doesn't do any testing in cold climate or thee issues would have come up. my next noise is external and it is a whistle or wine noise coming from the rear of the truck. doesn't seem to be a wind noise either rear end or tires. I noticed my brakes in the rear are really noisy when backing up slowly. it may be coming from there. (k miles on truck
I have strange annoying sound coming from the front drivers side either the dashboard or the steering wheel it only happens bumpy uneven roads its sounds like a metal clicking sound unlike what I’ve heard in the attached videos any ideas?
I have the whistle from the rear as well. It just got louder now that the weather is warming up.I have several rattles and creaks. Since the weather has warmed up here mine have subsided. I dont know I might take that award lol. Ya it sucks but I've managed to take care of a few myself and wont give up until they're all gone. Almost enough to make me hate the truck but for some reason still love it and I'm stuck with it now soooooo....lolI have the whistle from the rear as well. I think my truck could win an award for the most noises, squeaks, ticks, clicks, rattles and whistles.
I don't remember paying for them when I ordered my truck! I guess FCA threw them in at no extra charge.
I know what you mean. I love my truck too. I just want to get all of these annoying noises, squeaks and rattles fixed.I dont know I might take that award lol. I dropped my truck off at my dealer "Freedom Auto Group" in Harrisburg PA Monday after work. Freedom is doing 3 recalls, an oil & filter change and attempting to fix the rrrrrrrip dash noise (new video attached) that the truck has had from new. Also fixing the transmission or differential clunk upon rolling stop and start movement. Also the pano headliner ticks and clicks. In addition they will try and fix the metallic clanking noise from the rear suspension when driving over railroad tracks. Freedom was out of loaner vehicles at this time so they put me in a rental from Enterprise. I'm driving the most uncomfortable car in the world. A Nissan Sentra. I can't find a comfortable driving position.
I got a call today from the service advisor which has me nervous now. I was told that Freedom will need the truck until at least Friday. The dash is torn apart and the seat is out in order to try and find the noise source. The advisor stated that a "Level 3" technician is working on my truck and it will be returned to me made right.
I'm really scared about the dash being torn apart. Will anything be broken, scratched, torn or marked up? Tabs be broken off? Will it all fit back together the way it was (minus the noise) from the factory? What is a "Level 3" technician?
Anyway, wish me luck! Here my latest video of the dash "rrrrrip" noise that happens upon acceleration from a stop, or deceleration to a stop.
Does anyone elses rear window rattle when its open? Its quiet, but can hear it with Stereo off

The dealer contacted me today and said that they did find the noise in the dash. It indeed was a bolt rolling around in there. The headliner had loose clips and were fixed according to the star case with foam tape.Perfect, The_Chemist. I'll keep my eyes peeled for any future updates.

Good luck man! Hope it all comes back looking as it did. This is the exact reason I'm trying to fix all my irritating noises myself because I dont trust the dealership taking apart my dash etc. On my last truck, my evaporator core was leaking and they had to pull the dash to replace. I told them I was very OCD about my truck and I took pictures of everything first. Sure enough, get my truck back and theres a massive scratch running right down the centre of the top of the gauge cluster. Right in eyes view. They did fix it with a vinyl repair company but hopefully your luck is better than mine!I dropped my truck off at my dealer "Freedom Auto Group" in Harrisburg PA Monday after work. I am OCD about this sort of thing as well. I took pictures of interior and exterior in the dealer's breezeway when I dropped the truck off. The photos will all have time, date and geotags.Good luck man! Hope it all comes back looking as it did. It took all week to fix the dash and get it back together. I am praying that it will look ok and everything still looks like it did from the factory!
The service advisor said a retainer clip on the seat broke, so they had to order a replacement, which is back ordered. I'll have to bring the truck back for that.
They have to do the 3 recalls yet, change the oil and filter, check the oxidizing floor mats, check the rolling clunk from the transmission or differential in stop and go traffic and finally check the clanking rear suspension over railroad tracks.
Needless to say, Freedom needs the truck into next week.
Quite the ordeal so far...
I will post again when the dealer is finished fixing the vehicle.I am sorry to hear about your experience, The_Chemist. I understand why this would be frustrating. After service, be sure to let me know how your Ram is operating.

They need the truck at least one more day. They are trying to track down the whistling noise at around 40 to 43 mph. Process of elimination. Taping different possible sources off until they find the whistle.
I am also waiting for a determination of what will be done about my deteriorating rubber on all 3 floor mats. Picture to follow.
