Is anyone else experiencing this? It’s crazy loud. Well over speaking volume. Can’t hold a conversation with a passenger in the truck on a windy day. Brought to dealer who couldn’t replicate. Is asked them to keep it until a windy day, then they were able to replicate but shrugged and said, “we don’t know what to do, we sent a note to Chrysler”, which means nothing is getting fixed in my $55k “luxury truck”. I already sent videos to Chrysler care and they instructed the dealer to do nothing. It’s totally unacceptable. 5000 miles on the odometer. 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn.

This exact thing is happening to me too. It has to be the active noise cancelling. The sound is coming from the speakers. It’s insanely annoying and embarrassing.

I noticed this same sound the other day but while going around 85-95mph. I do not have a sun roof on my truck so i doubt that could be the cause of it. I was thinking it could be the active air dam cutting through the wind.

Thank you. I did request for my dealer, Butler in Beaufort to look into it. At the time, they were also addressing my leaking glass. They explained that this may be caused by the air leak around the back glass and to let them go that route first. I was fine with that. They have been greet so far. Even though this truck has had its issues (none serious) I’ll say that Butler has inspired my confidence in ram and in the fact that between ram and my dealer the intention is to make it right.

I do believe there are a couple TSBs out there for this but I'd have to search for them - we have a main thread which includes most of them.

I’ve had a Jeep that had that sound before. It ended up being the windshield cowl. Air would get through and make that sound. I put electric tape on top of the cover of it and the noise went away. Try that and see if there’s a change.

I have the same noise occasionally with my truck. Seems to be more frequent on really windy days.

Hi @Vigocarpath - If at any point you decide to address this with your dealer, we are more than happy to get you connected with a specialist for further support through that process. Our team is always a private message away.

It's actually from the airdam that gets deployed over 55mph. Air leaks between it and the chassis and causes this noise. It only happens to me at 80+ on a VERY windy day. There does not appear to be a fix for this (FCA needs to redesign a stronger unit and replace under warranty).

Interesting. I haven’t heard that as a potential source before. I get the noise at high speeds and high wind. I just took my lower valence and retractable air dam off so I’ll see if I still get it.

I haven’t looked that close but I didn’t think my sport has the deployable air dam. I thought they were just on the 2wd or something.

I had this same noise driving to California a couple weeks ago in high winds about 75 MPH. It was coming from the Rubber door seal that presses against the door frame. If I pulled real hard on the armrest/ door pull, it would either stop or change pitch or got worse if I pushed my fingers up into the seal. Came from both front doors depending on which way the wind was hitting the truck.
