Just wondering if anyone else has the squeak / letting air out of a balloon slowly sound after running the truck and shutting it off? probably 10-15 seconds of squeak anywhere from 0-30 seconds after shutdown of the vehicle. Gonna try and record it soon, don't drive too much lately but noticed it the other day when I went out.

Yup. I have this. Only does it a couple times a month or so though. Dealer couldn't replicate of course but I think it might be a glitch in the active noise cancellation but have never considered the HVAC...hmmm

Yes , I get the same thing going to take it to the dealer in Saturday hopefully it will do it again.

I just heard this yesterday. It sounds like a vacuum release or leak. I am guessing it has to do with the A/C system as I had that on yesterday and never heard it during the winter. I was just dismissing it as such. If anyone resolves it as being an issue, do share.

Hi everyone,
Please send us a private message if this continues to happen as we would be happy to have this documented and provide you with additional assistance while your dealers look into this.

My truck does this as well. Sounds like a barely squealing balloon, lasts for 5-10 seconds. Quite strange. I do believe it is the HVAC related.

I have this also. I thought it was the Active Noise Cancellation system which comes through the speakers. It’s sounds like feedback on a microphone kind of.

Now that you mention it, mine has only really done it in the summer when I'm running the AC...hmm

So I just got my truck back from the dealer today. They found the problem.
Thanks for posting, but to be honest I could barely read the images and I still don’t know how or what they fixed. Think you could provide some more information, would be helpful.

Basically, they said the a.c. System was labelled for the wrong amount of refrigerant. The system is supposed to hold .0567 . It was labelled for the amount of .0515 that what was in the system it was to low. So they recharged it to the proper amount .0567. And ordered me a new label for the a.c. System.

And by any chance can you tell a difference in performance of your A/C?

That appears to be a really small difference. I thought that noise was a vacuum line.

It seems to be working they same as it was before. I'll have to try it out on a hot day. We've had a couple of 85 degrees days here before they worked on it, it was always Ice cold.

That noise described is usually a slightly low Freon level. So this all makes sense . Looks like we all should check on refrigerant tag.

I got a good one for you guys! My a.c. System was started acting funny after they recharged the system. Took it back to the dealer this morning ,they just informed me I need a a.c. Condenser. And there are no parts available yet!!!

Where would one check for this tag? I have this exact noise consistently after engine off. AC is working perfectly fine though.

@Ram79hemi any chance you can get them to provide the info / # of the star bulletin they referenced in you repair order? Keep us up to date on the other stuff too! Thanks for sharing what you have already, also!
