I can't even remember if I responded to this or not, but if I did an update: I just passed my 3 year mark owning this truck from new last month and so far at 24k miles good. I have a semi-annoying rumble sometimes that I've pinned down to the noise cancelling system, but it didn't bother me enough to get it taken care of under warranty so I guess I'll probably not bother with it, or maybe I will - I'm told a reflash of the noise cancelling module solves this. Beyond that only two other problems that both solved themselves - when I first got it, some kind of "clunk" that sounded and felt like something in the front end, but it went away after a couple of months and never came back, so I suspect maybe a line worker left something in the truck that fell out. I also had a minor wet driver floormat that was the result of parking facing downhill and slanted to one side, and the door weep holes were closed tight enough that the water from the door leaked onto the floor. I don't expect any real solution for this other than don't park facing downhill and also slanted to one side.

Overall still really happy with the truck. Drives great and is super comfortable.

I’m 3.5 years in and truly I love the ride of my truck and luxury comfort. My kids enjoy long trips and there are multiple USB ports for all of their devices. Someone posted that I may have what is considered as “parasite battery draw” I’m going to monitor what is plugged in overnight and avoid leveling the truck when I depart from it. I have been using the remote start as well….Just trying to narrow it down before taking drastic measures. On the other-hand I really like the forum and I have learned a lot about my truck. I have had my entire console replaced by RAM CHRYSLER, so I feel confident that they will work with me and the dealership to resolve this problem. I like the Rams in the Super Bowl

Battery or maybe something else Huge Problem with ram 1500 2019 Laramie Limited, had the issue a year ago and posted thread but it seems that every year I’m dealing with dead battery fault. Driving normally and nothing seems to be going on no indication of a low battery or voltage Next day after sitting overnight parked ignition off. Wake up the next morning and key fob is not detected, truck is raise to the off-road position , have use manual door key to open driver doors, no lights on the dashboard and console display. At this point vehicle is completely shutdown..
Tried to jump start vehicle “All electronics dash console light up, engage start button “A loud Pop” as if blowing a fuse or when there’s a grounding issue. …Everything recycles and then goes completely dark again…The dealership has not come up with a precise diagnosis only explain that their electronic specialist has to do research and get back to them. I would like to know how to escalate this issue..,
Truck has less than 50K miles, and has been towed 5 times because of the same issue.
Beautiful truck lots of compliments but looks are not everything!!!
Your battery issue sounds very similar to mine. Tried command start and no lights flashed at all and so I went outside to see. Same thing, absolutely zero power to anything on the truck, door lock was frozen solid from being washed at the dealership (only had it for maybe 2 weeks when it happened) and I couldn’t get in to open the hood. Called roadside “can’t help you, we’re not a deicing service”. I was fn livid. Either way, they replaced it but now I’ve had so many issues in 2 months that I want out of it.

This is a very subjective thread with many variables however I wanted to ask.

After much reading and finding many 2019s had first generation "bugs" and various issues how are they holding up in the coming year of 2022? For those of you who own still own a 19' how has your experience been this many years of ownership? Still resolving problems? Traded up? I am curious to hear some input.

My experience has been excellent! Only a couple of minor issues that have needed attention, albeit one early one was the sound system. A firmware update by the dealer (at my request) fixed that and has the system living up to its full potential. In the first year, I added a dual under-rear-seat subwoofer/amp set up and the bed step. Other than that, I am factory stock and still love my 2019 Limited! (I do wish it had a front camera though.)

Wow! I'm truly amazed at the disparity of issues, and non issues.
I bought my truck (Bighorn 4x4 w/sport package) in June of 2019. Have ~31K on the odo, now. It spent several thousand of those miles dragging a box trailer around.

The A/C is marginal, IMHO, but probably good enough to pass the dealer's diagnostic. (I have my own thermometer. Not great but...)

I have received two recall notices. One for the wipers coming loose (fixed it myself) and the other for the floor mats. (Never a problem for me.)
The uConnect is a bit disappointing, but that's probably just the nature of the beast. It has its good points, too.

The only real problem I've ever had with it was certainly beyond FCA's responsibility. My front differential refused to lock, and the "service 4wd" light came on.
I quickly discovered that some critter had chewed through my differential lock harness. $24, and about ten minutes later, it was good as new.
It probably could have been covered under warranty, but it was well worth the $24 to not have to leave it at the dealer, and deal with all of that BS. (Can you tell I *really like* dealers?)

I also had to replace two rear tires at ~25K. Kind of puzzling. But these were takeoffs (wheels and tires) that I bought from another Ram owner, so I guess that doesn't count.
I wish all my other cars were this good.

I had bought my 19 Longhorn in 6/19. Traded in yesterday with just under 19k miles. Didn't really have many issues other than underperforming AC in Texas heat. And a minor rear window leak. Truck drove solid otherwise. Didn't want to keep it after warranty expiration. Was able to get to $4k more than what I had paid in 2019.

Still a little way to go to get the backorders settled, but I’m happy to have it back now minus the vaporized antifreeze in the cab.

Bought my truck used with 13k miles a year ago. I’m at almost 30k now. Main issue I had was with the AC. Had the TSB done with the redesign housing and it’s waaaay better. Only other issue was CEL saying lost communication with the grill shutters. Ended up being the auto deploying air dam. I disconnected it since it does little to nothing anyway. Otherwise all good!

Could you let me know what TSB number this is? While I have not had any issues with AC in my '19, even in the peak of summer in Palm Springs on multiple visits (once with 120+ degree air temps outside), I'd be interested in reading and possibly pursuing this TSB. Thanks.

Thanks for this. I would have had to search. My AC was terrible in the summer with high humidity. Installed a heater core bypass and it worked fine so I knew i needed the TSB.

I just called my dealer regarding the TSB. Quote, “we won’t be able to do the TSB until we verify that A/C output really isn’t cold enough”, which won’t be until it gets warmer. Guess I’ll find out this summer

I have had a few issues that all have been resolved:
Fuel tank & filler neck replaced- Would not take fuel properly- what a pain in the *** I'm so happy this is fixed
Drivers side sun visor with garage door buttons- Replaced twice because part of the hinge system is plastic and breaks- its a ****ty design- If it happen again I will move the buttons to the A pillar & install regular visor
AC randomly cuts off- reflashed and issue resolved

Let's see in the 3 years I've had it it's spend 3 months in the shop needing an engine replacement (21,000 miles) and two months later a new transmission.. not to mention the half a dozen other service appointments for misc. things.

Mopar was dumb enough to offer me an extended warranty, which I couldn't sign fast enough. BTW, I negotiated the price on the extended warranty if anyone is considering the same thing. If I didn't put bad-*** tires and wheels on my truck I would have sold it by now.

Curious - why would you put more money by buying an extended warranty into an obvious lemon ? I would have cut my losses after repairs and wheels or not moved to another brand.

In case you haven't noticed there's a shortage of new trucks and prices are through the roof..that is why I'm keeping it.
