This is a very subjective thread with many variables however I wanted to ask.

After much reading and finding many 2019s had first generation "bugs" and various issues how are they holding up in the coming year of 2022? For those of you who own still own a 19' how has your experience been this many years of ownership? Still resolving problems? Traded up? I am curious to hear some input.

I have a 2019, built in Jan of 2019, over 2 years 5 months of ownership with zero issues.

I've had probably over 10 new vehicles in the last two decades, from some premium makes and various full size trucks, this could be my overall favorite. Excellent fit and finish, better than some of the 2021/2022 I've seen to be honest.

Zero issues with A/C, water leaks (knock on wood), super smooth drivetrain, great shifting transmission, etc. I think I've been lucky with "first year production" vehicles, my last new truck was a 2015 F150 2.7L Ecoboost, also essentially flawless in the 4 years I owned it.

<24K miles since delivery (September '18).

Had some early issues (front air dam replaced and PDR on very minor ding done at delivery; rear seat recline latches replaced due to "catching"; rear brake and amplifier enhancement TSBs applied; safety recalls V04, V07, and V61 performed; updated HCP, PCM, and TCM modules; minor repair to RamBox seal). Those were all in the first year of ownership (9/18-9/19), although none of them were very serious.

Since then, nothing...until the battery died last month. Replaced that with a DieHard Platinum AGM battery and got back on the road.

Just completed my first significant road trip (3,300 miles, 50% towing). The truck did great. I have a Lifetime MaxCare warranty (purchased before they were discontinued), so I'm not in a hurry to trade.

Bought my 2019 in October 2020 with 24k miles. Now it has 44k. Both manifolds replaced, which is an issue not specific to 2019. Otherwise no issues and i love it. Oh, except the tailgate ajar warning that doesn't work. Dealer says didnt come with it, then I researched my built sheet which says it does. Obviously a very minor item.

My 19 was lemon lawed over vibration issues, wouldn’t hold balance over 250 miles , 7-8 trips to the dealer in 9 months and only 7800 miles , many new parts, all new front end axles, rack and pinion, new drive shaft, new rims and tires with absolutely no fix! The dealer told me there was no more they could do.A Ram specialist was sent out and agreed my truck was out of spec for vibrations. Thats when I said, you will be hearing from my lawyer! A week later, ram bought it back! I love the new rams just not all the unresolved issues 😩 I went and looked at all the new trucks and decided I wanted to build a new 2021 ram. I’ve owned the 21 ram for almost a year with 8000 miles, the brakes make noise, the tires are wearing funny again and I think I feel a slight vibration. Truck has only been to dealer for a oil change and tire rotation😁 I get it, a new year vehicle having issues, however with several trips to the dealer with no way to fix a $62,000 truck 🤷🏻‍♂️😩 worst part is I see 2021 ram owners with the same issues today with the first 19 builds. Vibrations, water leaks, etc etc. As long as the ram is not having one of its many issues, I love the new rams!

Bought my 2019 in Jan 2019 brand new. Has 22k miles. Only thing I've had is floor mat recall, and I hear some kind of drone that is probably the noise cancelling system that is being looked at in a week or so. No other issues, very happy with my choice.

25,000 miles and the only work besides oil changes and tire rotations has been
1) Reflash the ANC to eliminate a droning noise
2) Replace rubber floor mat under recall.
28,000 miles - I second Richard320 but add battery, pass door mirror signal lens replaced (water), some back up camera issues and 8.4 nav s-u-c-k-s. But very happy over all.

22,000 miles and only one issue outside of maintenance. Replaced a loud HVAC blower motor uber warranty at 11,000 miles. Rides great and would buy again.

Jan 19 build, 30k miles on it. Very recently I have service airbag system occasionally popping up. Apart from that zero issues other than a couple of TSBs. I have a dealer appointment next week to figure out the airbag issue
