My heated seats don't get very warm. Sometimes they are comfortable on the highest setting but other times they will get a little warm and then feel like they turned off. I brought this to the dealership who told me everything seems to be alright with them according to the tests they claimed to have performed. They also said that the ambient temperature outside has an effect on them which I'm not so sure about. This is my first vehicle with heated seats but others I've been in feel much warmer. Anybody encounter this?

I can only speak for the leather seats but mine get extremely hot. This is my third ram with leather and they all got very hot. I would never go the entire ride on the max setting. It would be way too hot. I'd go to a dealership with the same truck and test it out. It sounds like yours may be messed up.

I have a 2019 Rebel with full leather. I too notice the heated seat performance to be lacking. The heated steering wheel gets much hotter than both front passenger seats combined.

My 19 Laramie level 2 w/"leather" seats will toast your **** out on low after 20 min of driving even on single digit temp days. They are significantly warmer than my 14 Sport with leather trimmed interior. Same with the heated wheel.

I usually start on level 3 for about 10 min, lower to level 1 and then turn them off completely after 20-30 min. Warmest seats I've had in a vehicle even comparing them to my wife's Toyota w/leather heated seats.

So we just got our Laramie a week ago and noticed the same. Our seats just don't seem to get very hot like our jeep or last ram. I read at one point that the AlphaOBD has a setting in regards to this but I can't find where I read it and still waiting on everything to come in for my setup.

I have a rebel with leather. I have to shut them off they get so hot

Been through some very cold temps in Michigan, but no matter how cold, I can't leave my seat heat on high for more than 10 min. Mine got so hot the other day, I turned on the cooling seats to adjust the temp back down

We certainly understand why this would be concerning, Fairtrade87 & goodoldcbcjohn. We recommend bringing this concern to the attention of your servicing dealers if you have not done so already. If you do decide to work with your dealers for this, please be sure to let us know via private message so that we may connect you with a case specialist for an extra layer of support through that process.

Of course, Fairtrade87. Glad to hear you are planning to have this looked at. If it would be of interest, I would be more than happy to get a case created for further support through that process. We are just a PM away to get the process started.

add me to the list with weak seat heaters. I am not sure why but they get warm but they don't get nearly as hot as multiple other cars I have owned the past.

I will add that my seats are not that warm, every other car/truck I have had heated seats are way hotter.

Now the steering wheel will downright burn your hands off 😂

The same thing happens to my Rebel even thought is 2018. My stering wheel is ok but my heated seats is not heated but cold instead even after 5 or 10 minutes. I have 3 other cars with leather that will burn your you butt if you dont lower or turn them off! So far my dealer replace the heated elements to no avail. Waiting on the factory recommendation...

You have a 2018 Rebel? That's a 4th gen. The heated seats in the 2017 Rebel I used to have didn't get very warm either, although I rarely used them. My wife's 2017 Rebel had the same issue so I just figured it was normal for those. The seats in my 5th gen (Laramie) get warmer than I want, and don't keep them on for very long when I do use them.

My seat gets warm not Hot but same as my old one. Steering wheel is too HOT
