The hazards do not honk the horn so you can rule that out. When the hazards flash and the horn honks it's because the alarm/panic mode was activated and you can do this via the key fob or through the Uconnect app. One or the other set off panic mode.

this was not just an accidental push of the panic button. it was just a momentary wig out seemingly. the horn honked twice (spaced out about 2 minutes apart) - the dash screen scrolled unprompted - and the hazards just began blinking (as if the hazard button was pushed - but it wasnt)

guess ill just keep an eye on it and see if it was a one-off. i need to take the truck in for recall work anyhow, so ill just bring it up with a tech soon.

While working a job my truck sat idling for a few hours in the sun. When the temperature outside got hot and in direct sunlight my tire pressure increased and causes mine to switch screens, honk, and flashers come in. It did this multiple times during that week.

I’d bet dollars to donuts that the tech will think you set off the panic button. The symptoms sure seem like it, or maybe you locked the truck inadvertently and then set off the alarm by being inside at the time.

This happened to me once minus the horn honking.
Just parked in the driveway after work and was on a uconnect call and the flashers randomly began to go off. The hazard button was unresponsive and the lights flashed for a couple minutes before stopping on their own. The truck was running and I was on a call this whole time.

So I do believe the gentleman that spoke about the tire system is correct. I have owned my ram since September of 2018. It is a 2019 truck. I have noticed this happening to my truck about a half a dozen times since I tend to sit in my vehicle with it running while on my lunch break. the gentleman that did not hear the horn honk, that was because he was on the phone at the time. Normally the horn will honk. every time this has happened to me I have noticed that my tire pressures come up on screen and that one of my tires is off from the rest. It confused me for a while as well, but I do believe that is exactly what is happening.

Well thank goodness I was on the phone, I get home @0300! My wife and neighbors would've been pissed :ROFLMAO:
But seriously though that's dumb if that's how it's intended to work.

Maybe your tyres could be slightly deflated and hence it chirps on as pressure increases with heat?
I'd turn off the tyre fill assistant option in the uConnect screen to stop it spuriously happening and then only turn it on when you are adjusting tyre pressures.

Yes my truck randomly turns on flashers, honks and changes screen to tire pressure monitor all at same time. Always while in park and engine running. Also radio volume randomly goes up and down while sitting idle. Some type of electronic glitch. Hope they fix or recall the issue.

Had this happen in my 2019 Ram Rebel numerous times both while the vehicle was parked and while it was being driven. Hazards would automatically come on and tire pressure screen would flash. Pushing hazard button had no effect on turning off flashing hazard lights. It was somewhat unnerving being in the middle of traffic driving, having hazards come on with no means to turn them off, until they decide to turn off by themself. Usually lasted about a minute or so at the most when it happened. Would then immediately check tire pressure which showed tire pressures at the recommended PSI or within 1 to 2 PSI of the recommended tire pressure. Was one of numerous issues I had with the truck since purchasing new. Lost confidence in reliability of the truck and traded it in on another brand after owning for only 3 months.

I’ve this happen twice, the second time being tonight. My keys were in the cup holder so I don’t believe an inadvertent button push was responsible. I had just pulled into a ski resort parking lot, was in park for about 1-2 minutes when the horn honked, hazards went on (hazard button was unresponsive), and the screen on the in dash display changed to a different screen. I did not notice if there was a tire or other indication. I did not let it continue, but instead stopped the truck and restarted.

I LOVE my truck but between this and a few other electronic glitches I’ve had (main display locking up/rebooting/SiriusXM locking/resetting my presets) I’m a little nervous about the longevity of this truck. Electronic gremlins can be the worst. I hope there is a fix out there soon.

Mine came with tire pressure fill assistant switched on, worth checking the menus and ensuring its switched off.
