Gas mileage

You do realize there is a 0% chance OP did that?
Not saying he did, or didn't but you can still get accurate numbers without correcting the speedo for tire size. Just have to factor that into calculations

He could track miles using google maps or something maybe

I never recalibrated for 33s and the computer usually averages 16 to 18 mixed driving. I know it’s reading a little low, but I don’t care enough about the fuel mileage to fix it

I have all stock with retrax cover that is the top line one aluminum so heavier than the Lexan. I drive 75 % open road 60 to 67 mph and local 35 to 40 mph only have 2300 miles on so far and average 17.8 MPG went to Gatlinburg a week ago and hit 18.3 MPG averaged about 75 MPH all the way. I keep the Air Suspension in Auto. Very well satisfied with it and that is a little better than the 19 did with exact same package except I ran AT Michelins' on it so it got a little less MPG at 17 to 17.4 mpg. with same roll top bed cover.

I bought a used 2022 Limited about a month ago. For reference, this truck is loaded...Rambox, MFT, eTorque...so this is about as heavy as you will get (stock, anyway). I have 20" tires, 3.92 axle ratio. I have put a little over 1600 miles on it, and have a blended (city/highway) MPG of 20.5. Most of that is highway miles, as I live in the country six miles from the nearest small town and about 30 from the nearest larger population center. I have about 240 miles pulling an empty utility trailer (about 2400 pounds) and 240 miles with the trailer loaded, about 8000 pounds total being towed. That is all factored into the 1600 miles, in addition to some time sitting in the vehicle with the engine idling as I wait for my wife while she is in the store. Maybe a couple total hours of just idle time. If you take out the towing and the idle time, it is probably close to 21.

I can easily manage both, 20.5 / highway and 12/city driving with remote starts.

I'm getting by the EVIC 13.5 city, driving it easy on the throttle. I'll be driving it for @ 4K miles, so I'll report the EVIC and hand calculated mpg when done with the drive. BTW I have the 3:21 limited slip diff.

I have gotten better mileage hand calculated than the truck computer and have had worse but usually within .5 to 1mpg. But you bought it used and you should check your speed against a GPS app. It may have never been corrected for the tire size. Is the truck leveled or lifted? This can cause extra drag. I personally have 3.92 gears and am leveled with 34" tire and average 16-17 right now with about 70% highway at 70-80 mph. I will get a little better once it warms up. I also have the Diablo sport 87 octane tune.
What is the diablo sport 87 octane tune?

Diablo Sport is a company that makes a Tune that can allow you to apply custom tunes or they have some canned tunes when you buy it. One of the tunes is for 87 octane. They also have tunes that require you run at least 91 or 93 octane. The tuner also give some other functions that you can change such as throttle response. This does require an unlocked PCM as well.

I seem to average 13-14mpg all around. I've gotten 20-21 on the highway. Rebel so it has the 3.92's and I have stock size KO2's which are heavy tires. Seems like I am doing OK. I drive very conservatively though. I did just install the Speedform Throttle Controller and leave it on EC.1 most of the time.

Simular results here on AT 33's + 3.92. Not bad mpg for 4x4 V8 full size imo.

Yup. When people ask my mileage and I tell them, the response is "well that sucks." My wife's 2022 JGC-L with the V6 isn't that much better. We drive a similar commute to work and she gets like 17-19 mpg. You'd think it would be a lot better with the V6 and being lighter.

I have no complaints. I knew what I was getting into.

My averages since I recently started using Fuelly.

Pretty consistent and not terribly bad for AT tires. Lot’s of highway miles but average 80mph. My dash read 17-17.5 for each tank so hand calc is obviously lower. Not surprising RAM calculates a bit higher to make you feel better.

In winter I drop to the 14-15 mpg range.

I'm not sure on how everyone drives their trucks but I'm getting 18 to 19mpg in the city and 25 to 27 mpg on long trips. I have the 3.92 gears and the eco mode that kicks in when needed. I don't do more then 70mph on the long trips and I also have a bed cover. I don't get into it hard driving around town at all and I'm not hauling anything that would affect fuel mileage. Pulling my 37 foot travel trailer I can get 11mpg but its usually at 10.5mpg. This is all hand calculated not on the dash. My dash readings are close thought. It is completely stock also.

I'm not sure WHAT truck you are driving.
You are not getting 27 mpg on "long trips" with 3.92s, even 3.21s I don't think 27 would be possible on a long trip

Maybe if he drove 45 the whole way with mds engaged. Definitely won’t get that doing 60+
