You droidians are something else.
Correct just plug an android "smart box" that identifies as carplay to the truck and boom you have full screen android auto. Same phone. The issue is ram doesn't want to enable this for whatever reason on their software, probably in bed with apple or we'd have it by now.Because it works on other vehicles and Google has stated that it has to be implemented on the head unit. It is 100% a head unit issue.
I tried an Ottocast box that I also use for another family car and it doesn't work full screen.Correct just plug an android "smart box" that identifies as carplay to the truck and boom you have full screen android auto. Same phone. ... .
Really I've tried random ones off amazon and had the display full screen but be glitchy at times like when using phone for something else audio would pause. Anyway this one seems to be working well. They also have a slightly faster one with the 6225 chip but it's of stock . Premium unit for $90 directly from China instead of a reseller aI tried an Ottocast box that I also use for another family car and it doesn't work full screen.
Can you help me with a specific smart box name? Thank you

I have the same display with an Android phone as when I had an iPhone. The top

The fix is called reading comprehension. Look up a few posts where I posted a link. Use an android box to trick car into thinks it's carplay but it's showing your android auto screen full screen. You're welcome. And the fix is?

Otto cast is overpriced rebranded AliExpress stuff and many of their units are glitchy and buggy and slow.I'm sorry for the delay... it's the time zone
Yes, the fix is (for example) this ottocast (40 Euro in Eu).

Ahh, ok, I'm not the only one thinking there was another fix.Otto cast is overpriced rebranded AliExpress stuff and many of their units are glitchy and buggy and slow.
Basically almost any android carplay box works. Check Amazon or AliExpress. Look for one with the 6225 chipset or better if you want it being not slow. Alot of them are very slow.
. Look at this post. #66 shows the modification to turn the USB ports off when the ignition is off. Works perfectly. To all.
Using ottocast or something like that, there's one thing I don't like (really don't like):
After 24 hours, I noticed that the USB1 socket is still powered, so the box stays on.
Forever? I don't know, it's to check if after a few days the USB socket is still live.....
Low consumption is not equal to zero consumption and with these cold temperatures I do not trust it.

That fuse controls the 12v accessory plug on top of the dash not the USB portsLook at this post. #66 shows the modification to turn the USB ports off when the ignition is off. Works perfectly.
Hi all,
I wasn't sure where to post this, so I went with the gen forum. Anyway, I looked through the manual, and searched through the menu settings, but I couldn't find a way to disable the always on power setting from the center stack usb ports. Is this even possible? I recently added a dash cam, and it will power down after 5 seconds of no vehicle power, so I'd like to be able to kill the #2 usb plug (8.4 Uconnect nav), as opposed to plugging/unplugging the cable every time I drive.
What's hilarious to me is I actually had to do the reverse in my '17 Pacifica, and do the "move the...

You are so wrong. Sorry, but sometimes you just don't see the whole picture. That fuse controls the 12v accessory plug on top of the dash not the USB ports
For your information, F 54 is for the accessory plug, which you can move for always on or ignition on. F43 monitors the USB plugs front and rear. That fuse controls the 12v accessory plug on top of the dash not the USB ports
