Full Screen Android Auto Coming Soon?

All I want is a way to force wired or wireless android auto. I lived rurally so around the property I have WiFi and repeaters. So I like having the WiFi on as I don't get cell service up here, maybe 1 bar occasionally in some spots.

This is the first vehicle I've had with wireless AA and I'm pretty surprised I can't chose to enable or disable it, or a connection preference. If I remove my phone from it's docked connection it's a fiasco because for some reason it just constantly wants to reconnect to AA even if I force it to not reconnect. Same with my viofi dashcam. It just disconnects and goes back to AA.

But I've also noticed the AA is a cluster of displays even on the 8.4". With about an inch on both top and bottom being static stuff like my seat heater indicators that I specifically bought the 8.4" to have the physical HVAC controls of and avoid screen interactions with. So useless space...

Just kinda is what it is I guess.

That's a setting in your phone. You have it set not to automatically connect to AA. Turn off that toggle. On my phone, whether it's plugged in or not, AA won't launch unless I choose to
 
Interesting update My wife's BMW had an updated interface and the Android Auto added the incident reporting feature on the screen where you could tag police accidents etc. Same phone using her car and using my truck and the feature shows up there and not on my truck. So there are things that RAM could do to add this functionality to these trucks they choose not to.

That feature is dependant on AA and has nothing to do with Uconnect. I know because that has always worked on mine.
 
I guess you missed the point where I said same phone both cars shows up on the BMW does not show up on the ram? To explain how you turn it on on the RAM there's no setting there's nothing on my phone move from one car to the other wirelessly shows up on the BMW doesn't show up on the truck... Mines a 23
 
My Voperiz might have went bad, can't get it to connect. But, I didn't like that I couldn't screen mirror as it was advertised to do. I never could get it to connect to Netflix either. Has anyone been using a different "carplay adapter" that is giving you full screen android auto, along with the other promised features?
 
I just retrofitted my 19 rebel with a 12" uc5 and cant get carlinkit, mmb or binize to work
 
I guess there were some issues going on with UConnect of AA because my AA started working the next morning. Was weird though, as AA wouldn't even start when I was having issues. It would come up on my phone but not even attempt to start in the truck. I even deleted the Voperiz and tried to get AA through UC..............nothing worked until the truck slept overnight.
 
Now that I upgraded to the 25 with the 14 inch screen disappointing to find that the wife's iPhone can do full screen but my Android cannot especially since I drive the truck as my primary car.

Extra disappointing that when an Android auto the bottom half of the screen can't be broken into two sub panels like you can on the home screen. Feels like a huge waste of real estate. Would like to break the bottom half of the screen into half seat controls and the other half something else.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised since the bottom two inches of the screen are totally used by two buttons for parking alert controls.

Nice big screen but real estate is used terribly
 
Anyone able to tell me how I get a configuration like this on my 14.4 inch? Thus far when I'm in Android Auto I can only get a single window below not a split screen on the lower half
