These trucks look great with a level and 35's but most 35's weigh almost double what the stock tires weigh. What types of fuel economy are you guys seeing that are running 35 inch tires and gear ratio?

I'm rocking 34s and can still get 18-19 on the highway. 35s would probably be another 2-3 mpg hit. Looking at your signature, you have the 3.21 gears (as do I) and people are split on whether 35s are acceptable or not with those gears. When these tires wear some I will still probably look at 35s and a tuner to negate some of the power loss. These trucks look great with a level and 35's but most 35's weigh almost double the what the stock tires weigh. If the truck with 3.21s can pull 7000# trailers all day, I’m guessing 35s will not be an issue....people are split on whether 35s are acceptable or not with those gears.
Not saying it can't do it. You just lose some power because the bigger tire makes the gear much lower. Also may experience more shifting on the highway between 7 and 8. I will be looking at some after my 34s wear out.If the truck with 3.21s can pull 7000# trailers all day, I’m guessing 35s will not be an issue.
I can't really tell a difference with the 34s. Had 34s on my 3.21 2013 Ram as well and it was fine. If I go to 35s it will be a bit. Already did the Carven catback, and plan on the Mopar intake. Will also be getting a Pulsar so it should make a big difference and make 35s doable.I got 34’s 3.21 and I average 15. I had 35’s on it for about 2 weeks and i could feel the drain on the power. I didn’t like it at all. When they put the 34’s on it felt almost like it did stock.
That's what I'm getting with 33sTo answer your question... 35s x 11.5in wide highway 15 to 18mpg depends on how u drive a bit too.... around town 14ish.. had same results with last gen 2014,15,17etc.. if you don't put alot of miles on, I say dont worry about it.. I have a 65 mile a day total-commute back and forth.. I knew what to expect.. anyone tries to say you wont lose mpg is dreaming...Understand like everything on trucks you have to pay to play-period.
Very true, if I keep my foot out of it and stay at 60-65 I get about 21 mpg still. Just got back from an hour trip down the highway going 80+ the whole way and got 17.My mpg changes dramatically on how I drive too.. If I'm in it all the time it drops off.. old man driving goes up a good bit..lol
Agreed. Doesn't help that I added the Carven exhaust and love making it rumble. They did such a good job piping the engine note into the cab and the 5.7 just sounds so nice its hard to keep your foot out of it
Did the dealer do your speedo correction? How much?3.92 gears 20x11 with 35" tires on a 6" lift. My display shows a 15.9 average with a corrected speedo.
