Anyone have this problem with their bottom seat covers? It's hard to see on the pictures but if you look very closely you can see very thin fabric/lint like material coming lose. It's on driver's side front and rear seats and more of it on the driver's seat. If I use a vacuum cleaner a bunch of it comes out so, I am dropping it off to the dealership to have it looked at.

Dealership called back as they had a loaner available so dropped off the truck, fingers crossed they will take care of this issue.

Are you certain it isn't the clothes that you are wearing are shedding? There is such a small volume of air coming out it seems unlikely it is blowing out seat fabric. But you never know. Update when you find out.

I thought it could be from the clothes but the fabric/lint type material only pulls up when I rub my hands on the cushion or when vacuuming it sticks up so I have no idea. I will post an update when I hear back from the dealership.

Well, here is the update from dealership. They think since it's new and it's the fabric lining coming through perforation and probably go away eventually and recommended monitoring it for now. They have documented everything in the system and if it gets worse down the road they will replace both seat covers at that time.

So they’ll just wait for it to deteriorate more...and hope you lose interest. I’m not sure how I feel about this.

I agree with you and won't be losing interest. I am sure it is going to get worse so, will give it about 30 to 60 days and see how it is and go from there.

Service advisor has flagged the seat issues in the system so if it's gets worse they will swap them out.

Well got a surprise call from RAM Customer Care today to see how things were and told them the issues were still there with the seat covers plus couple other things need to be looked at. The lint like material is still coming out from both driver's side front & rear seats so, have an appointment set up next week with the dealership. I have my fingers crossed they can resolve this quickly.

Dropped off the truck today to check on seat cover issues and couple other things. I hope they'll fix these issues during this visit.

Well, here is the latest information. Picked up my truck today and per the dealership they could not get approval to replace the seat covers.

Have a Star case# 71596424 and a case manager assigned but never received a call from that person yet. I called RAM customer care 4 or 5 times and each time they tell me my case manager will be calling to resolve this issue.

There was couple other issues to check as well (passenger rear door rattle, only happens when closing the door) could not figure it out. Dual chrome tips rusting and replaced it with no issues.

Thanks

Just a quick update, I was able to fix the rear passenger door rattle and took me like a minute. I adjusted the striker just enough so when door closes, it doesn't rattle the plastics and that took care of it. Dealership had it for few days and couldn't figure it out and even put sound deadening material to reduce the rattle but no changes.

Talked to RAM customer service and they are following up with the dealership as to why the seat covers were not replaced. They even told me since my truck is under warranty and very low miles they should have replaced it without any issues...

So...just received a call from RAM case manager and per the service manager at the dealership, he is saying this issue is consistent with this type of vehicle and there is no fix for it...

I think it's time for me to take it to another dealership so they know what they are doing and hopefully provide better customer service.
