Back in '08 I had a brand new 250SD Lariat 6.4 Powerstroke. If you are not familiar with the internet nightmare that 6.4 is, go read up on it. Anyhow, I had that truck for two years. It was then put into the fleet, a plow was installed and it went to work. And it is still working. Over 200k hard miles on it and last I checked, still in one piece.Exactly. You cant re-write that history. I'd have bought the diesel if not for the issues in the past. I refuse to be the beta tester for Ram on this new one. You guys pony up and let us know and in 2 years, if the reports are good, I'll have this 2020 paid off and buy a smoker. Thanks in advance for taking one for the team!
Point is, the internet is full of know-it-alls that really know nothing other than what some dimwit wrote in Motor Trend.
Will the EcoDiesel be perfect, probably not. But I cannot think of a vehicle I have owned in the past 10 years (12 in total, I think?!?) that was.
As I mentioned in another post, the '19 350 dually I have sitting in my driveway right now (shop truck) has already had the front sheetmetal off of it and a new fuel tank installed due to various leaks etc. Am I thrilled about that? No. But I promise you, I am not over in the Super Duty forums wishing new owners luck because the '19 Super Duty's they just bought will suffer the same fate...
