As of today, I still haven't received any word from Chrysler on what they plan to do. I am very disappointed in their handling of this situation. I have recently gotten rid of the 2019 ram rebel that I purchased back in December of 2018. I will never buy another ram truck again. Horrible service from Chrysler and Chrysler cares. They are a joke. I hope that everyone finds a solution for their trucks that have the skunk/weed smell. Good luck to everyone.
Yes, I feel that for the price of the truck, I shouldn't have any smell coming from the engine. Also, when you talk to Chrysler and they act like they've never heard of this issue and tell me to work with my dealership until they figure it out. Went there 4 times and they couldn't figure it out and I never heard back from Chrysler or my dealership on a solution to the problem.Wow you sold the truck because of the smell??!!??
I have new 1500 with 4600 miles and I have the same smell. It has not dissapated as I hoped it would.I recently purchased a 2019 Ram Rebel back in December 2018. I have 900 miles on the truck and I am getting a smell from the engine when it heats up and it smells like a skunk. It has been to the dealer twice and they can't figure it out. I didn't know if anyone else has encountered this type of problem.

This is what they just replaced on mine too.UPDATE: My friend from the dealership said they are going to order a new fan module assembly for my truck. He stated that is what it says to do for the smell. I'll let you know once I have the work done. It will be 3-5 days to get the parts.
My dealer told me the smell was normal. Guess I'll wait to see if it goes away, or if something breaks.
This is interesting I just picked up my 2019 RAM Rebel last Friday I noticed a coolant smell a few times in the cabin.....reminded me of when my water pump went on an older vehicle I had but wasn't as strong smelling. My brother inlay picked up the exact same model a day after me and he too smells it??? I will definitely be keeping my eye on this. You may be on to something, I could see all three of those being possible causes of a rotten egg smell, but I am not convinced any of those are the issue with my truck. I would think a catalytic converter issue would be easily traced and would most likely cause the CEL to illuminate. I would think the same for a broken fuel pressure regulator. As far as engine running too hot, that would mean all my gauges/sensors are faulty. I would say the cat is the most likely of the three in this case, although I am still skeptical. The quote below was stated on another thread regarding the smell and the cat was initially blamed by FCA, but as far as I am aware, it has yet to be resolved. @jimmy9013 does bring up another possibility which supposedly was an issue with coolant and hoses on some 4th gens. Hopefully they will figure out the root cause soon, it seems that this complaint is becoming more prevalent.
