Has anyone had issues with the Electronic stability control light illuminating after 2000K and have a confirmed fix for it?
I called the dealer as soon as the light came on because it was just as I was leaving the dealer after getting my speedometer recalibrated for bigger tires.
they told me at the time it wasn't from recalibrating but it was because I was towing a trailer.

also shortly after at the ESC light the check engine light came on at 4800K with the code P0258B-00, brake booster vacuum pump.
26783
1st attempt to fix the dealer flashed the ECU. they said there was a TSB to flash for the problem.
on the way home 10K from the dealer ESC light came back on but no check engine light, so turned around & wen't back to dealer.
26784
2nd attempt, they now determined it was the vacuum pump to be defective, ordered the pump and put me in a rental.
26786
today they called me and said, your good to go. the problem has been fixed so I go pick it up. I see they put almost 20K of test drive on it then I get 4 blocks further then the last time and BING, BING, ESC lights up. I call the dealer and tell them it came back on.

3rd attemp hasn't happened yet

Show them this note I copied from another poster. Hope it helps.

I've been waiting to post this until it was fixed, in the hopes that this may help someone in the future.

I have a 2019 1500 Limited 4x4
The other day starting the vehicle produced the following errors:
Service Stability Control
Service Trailer Brake Control
Front and Rear parking/cross path sensors are disabled (trying to enable them says Unavailable on the EVIC)
Front Collision Warning is disabled

Immediately took the truck into the dealer and a week later it's fixed.
With their scan, the truck was producing DTC's: U1440, U0403, U0415, C2227, U0141

They cleared the codes and with the truck idle, U1440 returned.. unfortunately that's not in their system yet.

They opened a STAR case and the first attempted fix was to replace the transfer case mode sensor. This was replaced to no joy. The part took 1 day to arrive.
They reached back out to FCA, whom contacted engineering, who gave them the second fix: replacing the front axle disconnect. The part took 5 days to arrive.

Once they replaced the front axle disconnect and cleared the codes, the code didn't return. They took it on a couple test drives and she's now back in my driveway.

ESC light - Well I scratched my head and did some research on what sensors monitor the stability control, it looks like there are 3 main sensors related to the ESC 1. wheel speed sensors 2. steering angle sensor 3, yaw rate sensor.
So the scratching was what work was done on the truck to have an impact on one of these sensors?
1. Lifted 6 inches, that would impact speed sensor with bigger wheels but it wasn't throwing a WSS code or an ABS code.
after the lift the wheel alignment was done but the steering wheel was still almost un-noticeably turned to the right so not sure if the shop re calibrated the Steering angle sensor or not so I did the re calibration of the SAS and went for a drive. The ESC light has not come back on in 5 days now. YAY!

Code 258B-00 - I haven't taken it back to the dealer yet for this code because 1. they replaced the vacuum pump and 2. If I fixed the ESC light then lets give it a go.
I performed the test procedures pertaining to the vacuum pump code and found a bad connection to the vacuum pressure sensor doing a wiggle test at the brake booster and while checking for bad grounds I noticed that the battery positive cable was loose from when the dealer installed the electronic rust inhibitor so I tightened the cable connector and cleared the code.

it's been 5 days and the Check engine light hasn't come back on yet but i'm still waiting for it to say hello. :)

So far fingers crossed and knock on wood I can say it's fixed.

To add to this thread - I had the ESC light and error message come on today as well as lost all park sense functions, radio audio and windshield wipers would stay on. It turned out to be a blown fuse (from my own doing) on the interior fuse block under the dash. Replaced the fuse and all was back to normal. Just a thought for those of you who may have these same symptoms. I unplugged the radio connections and probably grounded something out in the process and caused the fuse to blow. It was a 15a fuse on the right side of the fuse block as you're looking at it. Hopefully this helps someone.

My experience with my 2019 RAM has been a pure nightmare. I've had an endless stream of check engine lights, traction control messages, electronic throttle control messages, etcetera. Went the arbitration route back in April, since the dealer and STAR engineers couldn't identify the source of the problem after multiple attempts. Damn near half the engine, drivetrain and electronics have been replaced, but still get the same problems. It's been like this since JANUARY. To add insult to injury, in arbitration, Chrysler's attorneys blatantly lied about how long it had been in the service department (despite me providing service records to the contrary), and the board denied my request as a direct result of the lies. So now I am currently suing FCA via Ohio's Lemon Law. The case is basically a slam-dunk. Just irritating and disappointing that Chrysler was willing to stoop so low just to save a buck. Ironically, this is going to cost them a LOT more now, since my Lemon Law requires them to not only buy it back, but to actually pay off my loan + interest IN FULL (including the bit of inequity I have). If they'd simply been honest and stood by their product, I would still be a loyal customer. And this is my 5th Chrysler product to date. But no more. And never again. I won't give my money to a company that's willing to lie and screw a customer, just to save a few dollars. And neither should you. Look up my posts of you want details of this insane journey.

Sorry to hear that Don4logo - was your truck an early production model? Mine was built a couple months ago and knock on wood, I haven't had any issues.

Nope, not early production. But my wife likes to call it a "Friday truck"...

I had the u1440 code show up and the dealer replaced the gas pedal. That was yesterday, and no codes in the brief time I've driven it since. Going on a 250 mile trip today so we'll see if it comes back.

Novacain - did that end up fixing the issue? Having this happen myself and I'm on my third repair attempt.

1st - SW Update

2nd - Brake Booster Replace and the light came on 20 minutes after I left the dealer.

Getting pretty frustrated as it feels like the dealer has almost put more miles on the truck than I have at this point. My issue specifically seems to resolve around bumper-to-bumper traffic or letting the care idle for a few minutes after driving on the highway. Providing the dealer with this thread for attempt three. Hopefully they can fix it!

I just had the mopar 2 in lift installed 2 days ago with 7300 miles and just got the service eletronic stability control today. I was at home got a call from tire shop that my cooper 35/12.5r20 at3 xlt tires came in. Started the truck and bam got the message on my truck and a check engine light. Then got service throttle control message as well. I called my dealer and informed them and setup appt next day. Hopefully it's not a difficult fix. Been reading tons of info on this form and its it's scary.

No the problem still existed after all the work they did.

they ended up having the truck for 6 weeks and replaced the entire wiring harness, cab off frame & dash out of truck to install new harness which created another nightmare with the mechanics X 6 not being able to put the truck back together properly so they had it for another 3 weeks and calling me twice a week to tell me it was ready and every time I went to pick it up & look it over & found missing bolts, unsecured harness routing, loose connections, Etc.
they only fixed the things I pointed out and took pictures of until the last time I went in, one of the service reps I was dealing with put a sticky note on the dash for the mechanic and forgot to take it off, it said "heat score" at that time I had a meeting with the general manager & FCA canada who were both kept updated on everything that was done over the past year & we came to the conclusion to give me back the truck to take all the aftermarket parts off and order a new 2020 with a dealer installed 6" lift kit to replace it at no extra cost to me.
No LEMON laws here in Canada so they went above and beyond by replacing the truck instead of continuing to repair it until I was happy.

All said and done the replacement of the wire harness seemed to have fixed the problems but in doing so the truck wasn't safe to drive due to missing bolts and hardware.

when I took the truck back to pick up the 2020 in February it had developed a water leak at the sunroof drain tubes going out the back of the cab and was full of water when I handed them the keys.

I have had the new 2020 Ram Rebel Sport quad cab now for almost a month, I installed all the aftermarket parts onto it from the other truck and because the mechanics put scratches in the 2019 every time they touched it I had a clear bra installed over the entire 2020 and installed a Borla S type exhaust which sounds amazing. I've got 423km on the truck now no major issues except for a misaligned passenger door and a tail light not seated properly, I can live with that until this CVOID-19 quarantine has been lifted and I can take it in for the twerking :)

Only 7500 miles on 2020 1500 and mine is experiencing these issues as well. What's the deal? Mine started with ESC needs service, then immediately afterwards the Start Stop needs service and then a Engine Service light. This happened 3 or 4 times, brought it in, they found the p258b and said there was a loose vacum hose on upper intake - tighten and no issue for a week then yesterday i got the start stop and ESC light pop again. I can say that each time this occurs, it hass been hot out and the AC was blowing hard - trying to cool the cab. Is there a relationship with these issues and AC that anyone as witnessed as well?
