I can make the squeak while the truck is stationary and i am sitting still in the seat ONLY turning the steering wheel a bit to either way!

NOTE: This is not my vehicle but someone posted the squeak!

That's the one. That squeak and the squealing brakes are maddening. Still not a TSB on the brakes which is total BS.

Hi everyone,
We're sorry to hear that you are experiencing this. Please send us a private message if you plan to have your dealer look into this so can have this documented and looked into further.

Ive already had the dealer look into mine. They replaced the front body mounts. Creak is still there

The creaking and clunking seems to be an issue for several of us. Just the road changing grade and causing weight to shift from one side of the truck to the other will do it without any steering input. I'm coming around to the issue having something to do with the front sway bar.

Changing bushings, bolts, and isolators has done nothing to resolve the issue.

Mines at the dealer now. Showed the Tech video of what cause the noise to happen as well as sound to hear it. See what they find. It also has the footwell leak.

I don’t think it’s the seat track. It won’t do it moving in the seat, only truck body movement. I tried moving and pushing all over the seat, both in it and out and no sound. If that helps.

I lifted my *** up off the seat while driving so there was no weight on the seat at all, when I turn the steering wheel to the right, the lateral force to the left causes the creaking. Same with weight in the seat. I tightened all four seat frame bolts with no luck.

I ended up using loctite large gap spray foam and filled several of the cavities under the floor board with foam, squeak is still there from outside but it was enough to damp the noise so that I no longer hear it in the cab. It's coming from the front body mount and the double floor pan acts like a collector and pipes the noise right into the cab.

Thanks for the info! Did you have the A pillar cab mounts replaced per TSB before filling the gaps? Or would the filler not interfere with replacing the cab mounts?

The creaking isn't from the body mount itself, its contact between the top bracket and floor pan itself. That being said if you plan on doing the TSB, I would do that before foaming stuff. It wouldn't affect changing the body mount but you're better off not having the cavity filled with foam before they go to work on it. Most of the guys with the creak still have it after doing the TSB so I didn't even bother doing it. Pretty sure I know how to fix the creak but it's going to take quite a bit of work. So I opted for the 10 minute fix and used a couple cans of spray foam it's only been a day but so far I can't hear the squeak, creak or whatever you want to call it while in the cab.

Dealer just retourqued everything and said it’s good, but by then temp was in 50’s. Getting cooler tonight so we will see in the AM. However the rear is creaking and popping, even worse with a load behind it.

I've had the A pillar cab mounts TSB performed and the creak is still there and sounds exactly the same. Not sure if it fixed the clunk sound when the weather gets warmer though...

I had a very subtle creak noise if you rocked the steering wheel back and forth while driving at low speed. I could hear it coming from under the truck. While laying on the ground under the drivers floor pan I had my buddy rock my truck back and forth. Make sure you retract your power steps if equipped! I could clearly see the body moving on the frame and the culprit was a large wire harness that was rubbing on the bottom of the cab. I grabbed the harness while truck was rocking and creak stopped. I adjusted it by pulling it away from floor pan some and creak was gone. Have not heard it since. Hope this helps..

Yes good find! I did the same last week and stuffed some insulation between the floor pan and wire harness. No noise for 6 days now. Will update if the noise returns.

The first picture is looking directly up from below the drivers floor pan. The second picture is looking towards the front of the truck, parallel with the frame rail. The green arrows point towards the front of the truck. The yellow indicates the active tuned mass modules. The red circle is where I stuffed a section of thick sock material between the floor pan and the rubbing wiring harness. The blue circle is where a loose wiring connector sits in a frame cradle. I stuffed sock material in there as well to stop it from moving and rattling. I hope this helps!

ok,
i stuffed in a sock there.... we will see in the early AM when cold if it creaks.... I am kinda shocked that that white colored loose wiring connector is just laying there loose in that metal semi-bracket! After thousands of miles of rubbing and bouncing that thing won't get damaged???? Seems like either poor engineering or poor QC in building?

OMG I hope this is what my creaking issue is too! As soon as I can I will be climbing under there to have a look! Thanks!

UPDATE!

OK, I stuffed an old white sock in the two places just as bonebro suggested in the great photos and SUCCESS! Even though it was 50 degrees here this morning when i started the truck no creaking at all! Crazy ! and this is after the TSB bolt swap didn't fix it....
Thx,
Bernie
