Help! I cant figure out where the creaking is coming from and its driving me crazy. It sounds like the door or steering column. Its definitely coming from inside. Anyone else having this problem? Check out the video.

Thanks!

Try adjusting your steering wheel all the way up then all the way down to see if that makes it worse or better, that may rule out the steering column. I'd also check the wheel well liner to see if something came loose.

Thanks Jordan! I cant find anything loose. The strange thing is, it seems to be worse when i turn right.

It's funny you posted this, Well not really funny but coincidental, I have the exact some creak especially on bumpy roads if I posted a video you'd swear I was driving your truck Lol. I was going to get on here and see if anyone else has this issue and saw your post. I heard it for the first time a few days ago, then it went away. I got in my truck this morning and noticed something laying on the floor board. It's a piece of foam about an 1/8" thick and 2"x2" square with adhesive on one back side. It has fallen off of something I'm just not sure where from but from up under the dash for sure. And it's obviously intended to prevent 2 things from rubbing together making the noise. I'm going to try and track down where it came from this evening, I'll let you know what I find when I find something.

You've got some great advice here, Cord. If you end up going to the dealer, let me know. I am available via direct message and can get this escalated to a Case Specialist for further handling.

So this is just a guess based on what I found today, Like I said my noise has been intermittent but sounds identical to yours. But I found 2 things, ones easy to fix the other I'm not sure.

#1 Underneath the dash in between the lower filler panel and the blower vent outlet for your feet there is a large wire loom one of the wires comes out of the loom and goes to the noise canceling mic. This loom just hangs there and there is a lot of slack in it so that it can pretty much bounce around. I think the foam was on the actual plastic vent itself to mitigate noise from the loom hitting the duct. See pictures

#2 The slop in the brake pedal arm. Possible fix, greasing something down there I cinched up the wiring loom if the sound comes back I'll look into the brake pedal arm. Trying to use Vimeo for the first time to share the video. Apparently I didn't embed it correctly but the link works

I'd check the wire loom because its easy, If that doesn't solve it start looking at the break pedal arm or take it to the dealer and tell them fix it. I'm pretty sure its the brake pedal arm though.

Wow! Good work. I checked my brake and it makes the same noise, however, i'm not sure where exactly its coming from. If you get it nailed down, please let me know. I'm definitely going to take it back to the dealer and have them fix it.

Its so hard to tell where its coming from but i believe the sound is coming left driver side of the dash. Again just an guess.

I have a creaking sound that sounds a lot like this but sounds like it's coming from the back drivers side door area. It also is worse when I turn right. I noticed it seems to be worse when it's cold in the morning.

I have a limited making the same sound. It’s not the brake pedal. I’ve removed the center console. A good amount of the dash panels and the noise don’t go away. Sounds like it’s under the center console. Possible under chassis coming through the metal.

Sounds just like my problem. As much as we all paid for these trucks, this shouldn't be an issue.

Well mine was back this morning, I agree it seems to be worse when its cold and everything has shrunk. I ordered a mechanics stethoscope to try and track it down. I can't stand squeaks and rattles, I found them all on my last truck, I'll track them down on this truck too. You just know this is one of those things the dealer isn't going to be very helpful with. "we didn't hear anything, could not replicate"

Do all of you have the pano roof? I only ask because I had a rattle after I reinstalled the passenger drain tube grommet. I pushed the tube too far out and it was tapping the bed. And it sounded like it was coming from everywhere because sounds travels.

I know could be stupid just a suggestion because I had something very similar
