Does RAM make improvements on the line?

My question is does RAM make quality improvments within the same model year? Now that there are thousands of these new 2019 trucks on the road, it appears there are some issues that appear more common. Do they make improvments during production of the trucks? Example - Would an August built truck today be better than an April build?

Yeah, a good example of this was the hood flutter issue from early, pre-5/1 builds--Ram changed how much urethane was applied to the hood on the assembly line and also released a TSB in June for dealers to apply the fix to affected Rams out in the wild.

Yes. Mine was built late May and many of the early problems were resolved. The hood flutter is a good example. I've also had no issues with brake noise (knock on wood).

People are still buying trucks off the lot that were manufactured in March / April which is why you still hear of the problems persisting.

I ordered mine May 12th, would have to check build date but it was certainly well after the order date, so far I have a horrible front end rattle, and centre console squeak.

How do you find the exact build date of the truck?

Yes, the MDH to the right of the vin ( month, date, time. My truck is 5-18 and was built 5-17 @ 9am. Thursday after everyone had their coffee hopefully

Is there a way to know the day of the month? I ask because some of the TSB's say something like "If manufactured before May 15th....". My truck sticker says 5-18, just wondering if I can find out the day too.

Where would we check to see if any TSB's apply to your truck?

Have you ever seen this? Mine says date of mfg is 5-18 but the MDH says 032306, so I guess that’s March 23rd at 6:00 am? If so why the difference?
