So I buy a 2025 Ram ,1500 Hurricane fell in love talked myself into believing that all the problems and complaints were a very small percentage.
I have 2020 miles about 2 months. After,2 weeks truck starts no display, put in gear acted like neutral. Had it towed to Dealer. Now ,2 weeks later, check engine light!!! I'm so scared I got a lemon. Trucks so awesome lifted from dealer
35x12.50x,20 tires with awesome rims. Guess I should have listened....1000000297.jpg

Hopefully its not a lemon and I am in the same church, just a different pew.

Its a new truck with very low miles, i think its normal and reasonable to expect some
issues to happen. For instance my dealership chased a check engine light related to an up stream o2 se sensor..we

Replaced the sensor
Replaced the sensor again
Replaced two upstream sensors
Replaced all up and downstream sensors
Installed a new PCM (or whatever Control controls the engine)
Then finally replaced the entire related wiring harness and the problem has finally stopped happening

All this after it spent 3 months in the body shop after i nearly got run off a mountain on a military training site..

All over a bit more than 1 year..granted i got frustrated and just drove with the light on for about two months in the middle of all that since I wasn’t able to give up the truck for any amount of time during that period…

I say that so you know it can take time to locate the crux of an issue and the resolve it.

I had a few issues on my 19 early on. They took care of everything under warranty and I have no issues since.

Correct - if there is no code there is nothing for them to go by. You can take it in and describe the issues, but there wont be anything for them to really go by on their end. I'm taking my truck in Saturday (2026 Laramie, only 500 miles on it) due to it dying twice on me now. I erased the code so the CEL would go away, but it was just a low voltage code. Hoping just new batteries solve my issues.

The dealer will be able to see historical codes to know why it was one. Unless you cleared the codes yourself by disconnecting battery...

No didn't disconnect battery. Do dealer will see why it went on and why it fixed itself?? OK

They won't know why it "fixed itself" but they should be able to see code in historicals, and can run a diagnostics on whatever the code was for to make sure it really is fixed.

Service writer should be able to check and see if there are stores codes. So shouldn't need an appointment. But call and ask first.

Ah I didn't know they could see historical codes. I had an issue with my 2025 and I cleared the code with my code reader. They told me next time to leave the CEL on so they could see they code. There was no way for them to see it if I cleared it out. I did not disconnect the battery in that situation, just cleared it with the scanner.

If you clear it with a scanner they won't be able to see it. If it turns off on its own the code is stored until cleared by a scan tool or battery disconnect

Update. Put my code reader and.........,. Drum roll
NO CODES. So that's that. Thanks bunches for the opinions

I hope it all works out. I'm of the opinion that if you pay these ridiculous prices, then that vehicle should have zero issues for years. My 2023 Ram 1500 5.7 with e-torque, has been flawless from day one. Not a single issue and that's how it should be. That should be the norm. My truck stickered for $60,435 and though with rebates I paid $8K less, it is still a lot to pay. I'm sorry, but Ram, get your **** together if you are going to charge $60, 70 80K for your trucks.

Back in 2020, I purchased a brand new F150 STX with the 2.7 and it was a giant POS, all sorts of issues. I traded it back in, with a slight loss but luckily, its replacement was fine. It just might be the odds, as a specific amount of vehicles will have issues. It is great when it works out, not so much when you fall under the percentage of those whose vehicle will have problems.
