I don't know what to do at this point. I've been a lurker here a while but really need to reach out for help at this point...

I have a 2022 Ram 1500 Bighorn. I was doing well in my career and wanted to treat myself to an upgrade that I thought would be fun.

1. UConnect 5 upgrade to the nice big 12 inch vertical screen from my previous 8.4 inch no-nav screen.
2. NAViKS system to take advantage of some cool side/front/back cameras.

I got in touch with a verified installer for the NAViKS system who helped me find a UConnect 5 screen seller that would work for the upgrade, since the NAViKS required a unit with nav for the proper wiring. Fast forward many months, I just picked up my truck today with the upgrades installed, new screen and everything. It all looks great. I'm driving it out of the lot using the new cameras to check left and right. I get about 5 minutes away and apparently the touch screen stops working. Okay.... strange... I'll just get to where I'm going and power cycle the entire car to make sure things are still working as expected right? Nooooope. The screen is now freaking out. The best way I can describe it is that it's trying to show the original 8.4 inch screen in the top half of the 12 inch vertical screen. It's almost as if there are two different displays.

A couple hours go by and I fire up my truck again and the entire screen is now a garbled mess of green, purple, and static lines flickering to the point that it would make a seizure patient instantly trigger. Thankfully the screen off button still worked.

All I can ask for at this point is for help. The screen was bought through DD Offroad, a reseller who seems to find original infotainment/mopar parts and finds a way to sell them at a cheaper price. NAViKS was ordered by the installer, HKP Customs in Bellevue Washington. Something isn't playing right and I don't know what to do.

Take it back to shop that did the install.

Also, ALL 12" displays have NAV, so shouldn't have been that hard to find.

Also sounds like a defective screen. What radio system did you have from factory? DM me your VIN so I can take a look at your factory build. You should have had navigation if you had an UBL. Uconnect 5 UBL module should allow a Uconnect 5 12" screen to work.
