Clunk in Front end 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie

33,000 miles, had the clunk for 30,000 of those miles. They replaced links. Will see how long that last

I have a clunk at low speeds going over a bump or if I drive down the road at like 20mph and do quick left to right steering motions to rock the truck will reproduce the noise as well. I for the life of me can tell if it is in the front end, a body mount or something further back.

It’s likely the front end sway bar, I had the same thing and there’s a TSB for it.

Thanks going to dealer Monday to have mirror replaced, will have them look at this as well.

I believe there is a TSB for body mounts making noise when turning left or right as well. Check out the TSB thread, alot of good info there.

Thanks, after doing some checking yesturday, I found the jack under the passenger seat was slightly loose causing a clucking noise.

I had a clunking noise when turning over any small bump. Turned out that it was the left front body mount. There is a TSB for it. Replaced under warranty and solved the issue.

I had the same issue, my 2019 Ram 1500, for months had the clunck sound, 2 different Ram dealers and they said no problem found, after a 3rd time they said one of the sway bar end links were loose but the noise was still there....After seeing the incompetency at both dealerships, I started to investigate by my self and decided to buy the passenger side sway bar link, removed the original and found it to be super loose in the bottom part, replaced with the new one, took it for a spin and that was it!! freaking clunck sound went away! It only took me 37 dollars and one hour of my time....shame on you incompetent dealerships! and shame on you FCA for having defective parts!!!....still love my truck though!
Also, if I pull both end of the link I can hear the clunck sound.... Important note, to see what I saw I had to remove the link as I had the truck in the ground and not lifted. Hope this help to the community here.

I had the issue for several months but it mysteriously went away. I droped my truck off at the body shop after a minor fender bender and when I got it back it did not make the clunk anymore, I guess maybe they were nice and fixed what ever it was. The only parts they replaced where the front bumper and one headlight.

Just had my end links replaced for the second time. They have been clunking for 6 months driving me insane. Last dealer said its normal, they all sound like that. Tried a new dealer today, diagnosed and fixed in 30 minutes. Any aftermarket sway bar end links? Obviously OE part needs some improvements.

So I took this upon myself instead of wasting time at the dealer and having to pay the $100 deductible for the ram care, I took my chances and purchased 2 new front sway bar end links cause the clunking was getting annoying and embarrassing if heard by others while driving my new expensive limited longhorn. So I replaced them with the stock mopar parts that costed me about $55 for both and oh man I’m I so happy, no more clunking at all so it’s not always just tightening the old ones cause I did that and it didn’t work, once I took the old ones off I noticed the ball joint of the lower part of the link was loose and was completely shot just swinging the link back and forth it was moving freely. Now Going up my driveway with a small curb is so much better not hearing the clunk. Here is 2 pics of the old ones.

Truck is going back to the dealership for fourth time today. Took some pictures of what I think is the problem!

Reviving an old post I know. But your pics and your clunking issue is identical to mine so I'm curious if the issue was resolved for you and if it had anything to do with what's in the pics ??? Because I've had one shop look at it so far and they can't figure it out but my control arm connections look out of whack like yours do.

Just purchased at 2019 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi with under 70k miles from my local Ram dealer used. Noticed that there is a clunking noise when I drive down a dirt road that is uneven. I took it in to bell tire to have it looked over and they said I need new struts. I am not sure that is the issue because they quoted me $2200 to replace the struts. I took it to another repair shop and they said they would have to check it over before replacing the struts to make sure that is the issue they quoted me $600 for the front end but haven't been able to get time for them to inspect it yet. Any thoughts on what I could be hearing other than struts? It does do it when I am off road on grass as the truck ****s side to side on uneven ground on my mother-in-laws property which is mostly grass but has uneven areas.

Front sway bar bushings/ swaybar endlinks would be my starting point. Replace those first and make sure the bolts are torqued down properly they can become loose overtime.


Struts were recommend by the shop so they can hit you with a rather costly bill don’t fall for it.

You didn't provide what brand struts they would install, and hope its not oem cause $2200 is crazy
