Last Thursday, the code popped for a second time. Got it looked at today (along with some other smaller items). They were unable to find any issues, so they cleared the code. Now we wait to see if it comes on again (it came on 2x in 2 weeks).

Hi Hunts99,
Let us know if you need to return to your dealer to continue addressing this. We would like to have this documented and provide you with additional assistance while your dealer works on a diagnosis.

I cleared it the first time myself (bluetooth reader and Android app), second time I figured I will let the dealership deal with it. Actually guided them to what some if the ideas were on this exact thread to try and help them out. Apparently the tested the line, started and stopped the vehicle 40x (wonder what that did to the starter) and it didn't come on again for them. I like the dealership and the service guys, so I am glad that its documented and discussed (and it's still under warranty). If it comes on again soon....yeah, something will have to be done on my end.
Mine check engine light came on yesterday with the PO456 code (low level vacuum leak) and after several read and resets I was unable to clear. I was on a 1/4 tank of gas and after fillup I was able to clear code. Initially thought it might be gas fill seal leaking and tried cleaning with no luck. Maybe fillup knocked something loose. Will see if it comes on again

Well...the engine light came on again for the same code this morning. This is now the THIRD time in under a month it has come on. Looks like I will be making a other trip to the dealer to try to get it sorted out. Getting to be quite an annoyance.

Before you do that, ensure there is no debris keeping the gas cap flap from forming a good seal.

Well this should be fun. Mine just popped on for the same thing at 1,499 miles. First Ram that I’ve owned and that’s a little concerning.

Cap flap had a tight seal. Its more annoying than anything as I cannot use the remote start / Guardian app. Hopefully the dealer will be able to determine why. Fingers crossed.

Dropped off the truck yesterday and got it back with the attached note. Hopefully this solved my issue, but seems like it was just kicking the can down the road (e.g. why wasn't it found the FIRST time it was brought in let alone during the build process). Hopefully this may help someone else out. As my son would say, "finger crossed" that it doesn't come back again.

With all the other build issues (like the unseated rubber grommets causing water damage) I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing more trucks pop up with similar evap line issues.

Hope this at least resolves the issue for you.

I agree, mine hasn't come back yet but again they wanted me to fill the tank so they could do smoke test properly.

Has anyone had this EVAP code pop up yet?

Just hit 7,000 miles on the truck. It came on about two weeks ago and I reset it. Just came on again today... reset it as I'm out of town next week and the dealer is booked up.
Just got the same code at 2500 miles. Love the truck but really FCA? :(

**Update 6-13-19**

Made an appointment to the dealer. The next day, the check engine light went away by itself.

Taking it in anyway. See what happens.

I am having the same issue with my Rebel. CEL came on about a month after purchase, just after 5400 miles and was told it was the small emission evap leak. Dealership took it in to run a smoke test and said they could not locate a leak. They cleared the code and sent me on my way. Started my truck this morning and CEL is back (6200 miles). Another stop by the dealership and told it was the same issue. Dealership booked up until Tuesday, but hoping they can resolve this issue. Truck was sitting around half a tank of fuel and hadn't filled up in about a week so I'm thinking the fuel flap should not be the culprit. BTW not a fan of the flexible, no cap refuel flap.

Mine has not come back. Last time I was in they asked if it came back and I said no, they said I don't think it will. I thought was strange but I am good to go for now

Dealership ended up running tests on the system and said the ECM would not test so they replaced it and flashed it with updated software that increased the values (decreasing the sensitivity) that triggered the CEL. I've only had it back for a week, but so far so good. Will post back if anything changes.

I am getting codes P0440, P0441, and P0456–all related to the evap emission system. I have previously cleared these codes 2 times and they go away for a couple of weeks and come back. I just scheduled an appointment with the dealership. I’m glad the dealership is close to my house because it seems I’ll be in and out of that place.

Received my truck back. Dealership found and replaced a bad evap system solenoid.

The fuel system is supposed to stay in vacuum. There seems to be four things that can be wrong aside from a bad tube connection somewhere. The gas fill, the Evap canister, the Evap sensor & the Evap solenoid. The most common seems to be the Evap solenoid since it is what regulates the vacuum or a bad sensor.

I just got my truck back today after working through multiple CEL lights all for P0456. They have replaced the solenoid, fuel pressure sensor and with this last trip the fuel filler neck along with applying TSB 10-038-19. I am hopeful the issue is now resolved but if not I may have to seek the lemon law.
