I just got my truck back today after working through multiple CEL lights all for P0456. They have replaced the solenoid, fuel pressure sensor and with this last trip the fuel filler neck along with applying TSB 10-038-19. I am hopeful the issue is now resolved but if not I may have to seek the lemon law.

Wow. I hope it is fixed. My codes came back a day after I got the truck back from the dealership. I reset them yesterday and I am waiting for them to come back before I drop the truck back in the dealership.

Just got this code on my Big Horn 1500. Have an appointment scheduled for Tuesday. I noticed a decrease in mpg too, maybe 1-2 mpg dropped. That probably means it’s a little more serious than just the gas cap. Will update as to what the dealer does with it.

Mine came up a few days ago and also noticed the fuel economy drop. They reflashed it with the TSB and so far so good

Here is what happened to my ram after about 5800 miles.
1. Flashed (didn't fix)
2. New O2 sensor (didn't fix)
3. New wiring harness (so far so good. Required them to remove the body from the frame. About 12 hours labor)

Link to that thread below. Within the thread is the work order from the dealership.

I also say a dip in the MPG. I am not sure but I don't think the cylinder deactivation works with a check engine light on which would explain a slight drop.

I find this interesting, as I've been having the same problem with my 2005 Ram. I've replaced every component in the EVAP system, except for the plastic tubing which is no longer available. When I reset it, the light may come on the next day, or the next month. I plan on ordering a 2020, so it seems the systems are similar even after 15 years.

I had this code come up on my truck today. I installed an S&B cold air intake a week ago so I’m assuming it’s something to do with that thing some way or another.

Same here. Never had the issue until I Installed the S&B and about a week later started getting P0441. I've reset it a few time, then checked everything under the hood and noticed some of the screws holding down the top on the S&B were kinda loose not making a good seal. Just had it come back on today after about 3 weeks. Still need to check the seal on the CAI but I'm betting that's it. If loose I'm going to use some lock tight on them hopefully that'll help.

I went through my intake and tightened everything to make sure it was good and then disconnected the battery for 3-4 hours and let it sit. These were the instructions I got form S&B and the light hadn’t come back.

It could be fixed but I may take a while for the code to register again. I think it is 27 miles or something like that. A RAM service manager told me but I forgot.

Anyways, I dropped my truck off yesterday for this code (again) and I just got it back today. Hoping third time is the charm. Let's see.

Nope. Got the truck back and the codes came back a few hours later. Have an appointment this week again. This will be the 4th time it is in for EVAP codes. May pursue lemon law.

Yeah that’s odd. I’ve driven over 400 miles since my last light so it’s gone. Hope they can solve yours..

I got this CEL code last week. Dealer ran a leak test, no leak found. They applied a TSB to reflash the ECU and its gone now

My 2019 Ram Limited has had that same code come on several times. My biggest issue is that every time it rains all night, my truck will idle terribly and the truck won’t drive over 30 mph. The last time I took it to the dealer they that the truck had water in the gas tank. The same exact thing happened two weeks prior to that incident and they had changed out the computer. I pulled the code P0456 every time I had to have it towed back to the dealer but they tell me that when they check the truck, they don’t get that code. Today is the third time that it rained all might and the truck was running ruff and the check engine light came on again. I checked today and the code comes up again P0456. I took a pic of the code so hopefully they will fix the issue. As of now, I can only drive my truck as long as it doesn’t rain.

Damn that sucks man. Don’t clear the code, I know it sounds silly. If you can, I’d drive it to them when it’s happening. It’s been documented multiple times of the issue.... “well, here it is doing it”......

This isn't covered under the 5/60 powertrain warranty is it? I'm just past 36k and got code p0456 this week.
