Center console to bench seat swap Complete

Knocked out the jump seat swap today! If anyone is looking for a black center console I’ll be listing mine on here in the buy/sell/trade section soon. Wasn’t to bad of a job but the heat down here made it a little miserable at times. I’m happy to help if anyone has questions about the actual install process.

Something I wasn’t sure about of from the original post was if removing the front seats was optional, and yes it is but makes the swap little harder to do. I was unable to put the plastic trim piece that goes under the carpet to give it the little hump in the rear back in but I don’t really care, it all fits and looks fine.

Did the Console to Jump Seat swap - however, seem to be missing the beefier Floor Bracket that holds down the JumpSeat.
Here is what my swap looks like at the moment - not exactly sure which Dodge Part No I need to properly bolt the back of the jumpseat onto the floor/frame.

I have a 22' 1500 Laramie jump seat w black leather interior if anyone is interested in trading for their console. I'm located in TX. Would prefer to trade with another 22' to keep the components all the same model year.

I'm curious how this would work logistically though since I imagine the truck isn't drivable while the components are removed. If anyone else has done the swap with someone, how did you handle the logistics of it all? Thanks in advance for any wisdom!

Hey everyone! I’ve got a 2019 bighorn center console looking to swap with a leather jump seat if anyone has one. Currently live at Fort Novosel, AL and would definitely be willing to drive a ways. I swapped the center console cup holder with a limited and the two rails with limited pieces as well. Gives it a better look than the stock one. Let me know! Thanks all.

Sucks how involved this is and that you have to swap carpet too. I don't understand why large vehicles even come with center consoles, you're just removing a seat, making it harder to sleep in cab, making it harder to have sexy time in cab. For what, to avoid a column shifter?

I wouldn't sleep or try to have "sexy time" in the front seat. Especially since the center jump seat doesn't move with either of the driver or passenger buckets. So they wouldn't line up for most drivers. And there is just so much room in the back seat.

Also, there hasn't been a column shifter in a 5,the gen RAM, very. Where you have the center console, or front jump seat, it's still the dial shifter in dash. Unless you have a GT or TRX.

And I prefer my glorified storage bucket/arm rest over a mostly useless seat. That takes up space better utilized for storage. Part of the reason for going with the gift dial and going away from console shifter was to increase the utility of the center console with more storage room.

Can anyone Help with some direction on getting a jump seat for a 2021 Dodge Ram Laramie Black leather interior. Would appreciate the assistance. Tried calling dealer however they said they don't sell the parts.

Just swapped my console for a jump seat (had a 4th kid and needed the seat). Everything went well EXCEPT my front usb panel. There were two cables that plugged into it on the truck that had it originally, but after taking my console out, I only had one of them. Anyone have the solution to this? I have USB ports that work in my jump seat portion, but the ones up front are what connect to the apple play and all that. Hate to lose the 2 ports up there.
