The covers should be just clipped in. You should be able to take a plastic knife and pry under the sides to release them. PLASTIC knife..... So you don't booger up the bed rail.
I found they made holes smaller. The ones I had on 2014 RAM are to big, won't fit into hole to grab metal bed. There is also a formed pocket that sets below the metal portion of the bed pocket. If you find smaller ones to fit and screw tight the adapter plate it will only catch the formed plastic pocket compressing it. May become lose from use
I put some in my truck but don't recall the brand and I can't find where I bought them. they work well, I remember I had to do some cutting inside the plastic pocket
