i would be going to a lawyer personally
I do not believe they are capable. Before they took the truck, I remarked at how difficult headliner work can be, and I was worried about not just their ability, but anyone's. I basically had to eat my warning when I went out to look at the truck today. Now, I am really concerned with not getting the issue fixed and basically wasting a fair amount of money on a vehicle I will have to drive for years while staring at faults.
This story is so sad. Buying a new vehicle is supposed to be fun, rewarding, and exciting...not a pile of crap. I wish I had a way to help you out, but I dont know anything about crummy dealers and lemon laws and stuff. There is a lot of good advice on here. I really hope you get this all sorted as the new ram is a magnificent pickup truck. Best of luck, and welcome to the forum. I am pulling for you!It seems like you've documented the issues fairly well so far, be sure to keep that up.
This is just me, but if I was in your shoes, I'd force FCA to take that truck back, and either start over with a new truck, or take your business to another dealer/manufacturer. And of course, if/when/wherever you find a replacement vehicle, go over it with a fine-tooth comb, knowing what you learned with this vehicle.
Not that two wrongs make a right, but just for some perspective, take several minutes to read this article in the Detroit Free Press:

I forced an update out of the dealership this morning. I am being told Thursday at the earliest. I also let them know that if the truck did not look new (like it is), I would not be taking it. I am really afraid of what I cannot see considering how bad what I could see was.
Would it be possible to just do that now? As the dealership is almost 60mi from my house, I would like to be certain it will be completed properly this time to avoid having to go back out.Hey sanewithinsanity,
I’m very sorry to hear of the trouble you’ve been experiencing with your truck. Please do not hesitate to connect with us via private message if you get your truck back on Thursday and the concerns you’ve mentioned here are still present. We would be more than happy to escalate a case on your behalf so that a Case Specialist can work alongside your dealer to ensure your concerns are properly addressed.
