Just got back from having them installed. The ride is WAY better than factory! Much more composed. Bumps are barely felt and the rocking back and forth is nearly gone. This thing is going to handle awesome when I do 5160s in the rear and add a Hellwig sway bar. Now, if only I can find a set of 305/55 r20 in stock.

Here is the ball joint angle at setting #5 with factory arms.
What kind of rake did you retain from front to back? I still go back and forth on setting #4 or #5 with my ORP truck.

Did you decide to go with RL, RC or zone UCAs?
I’m going with rough country. I think they are the best bang for the buck and will be plenty enough for my needs. From what I’ve seen and read they are getting great reviews.

Are you set on going with setting #4 or 5?

I kind of went back and forth as well but went with #5. It’s perfect to me. I haven’t measured anything but I think there is a very small amount of rake retained. I love it and I’m definitely glad I went with #5 on my ORP truck. Ball joints look fine. Bilstein knows their stuff and they said arms are not needed when staying on #5 or less. I concur.

Pic of my recent install of the Bilsteins. I don’t have the ORP and went with clip #6 again, same as my last Ram and looks just as perfect and level. Measurements are 38.5” all the way around.

I’ll add better pics over the weekend.

Here’s a little better photo. Even though it’s only 2” higher in front, it’s definitely a bigger step up into the truck. 🤣 Next up, side steps, wheels, and finally tires when they become available. Everything is always expensive and backordered with this truck stuff.

Actually I was going to go the eibach route but they don’t make a rear shock for anything over 1inch rear lift. I want my front and rear shocks to match.

anyway I have my bilsteins. I’m just waiting on my upper control arms to arrive before I install. And now apparently the ridge grapplers are in short supply 🤦‍♂️
Any luck with that nittos? They are sold out in the three sizes I want , and no one can get them I’m going to call nitto tomorow and ask when they will be releasing more into the wild

No I haven’t checked back with our supplier. There are 2 sizes I’m good with. But it’s going to be 3 or 4 more weekends before I have time to install the bilsteins anyway. Hopefully by then they are available again.

Wow, that looks fantastic! I went with your recommendation and told the shop to install the struts at setting #6. Dropped the truck off last night with the Bilsteins, RAM 20" Wheels, and Discoverer AT3's that came on the wheel. Picking up after work tonight, cant wait!

What sizes were you looking for? The Nitto dealer at my shop said they shut down the Ridge Grappler assembly line for some reason. He thinks they are going to fire it back up soon and the prices will all be higher. He says that’s how it usually happens.

My 5100's were ordered Thursday, shipped Friday and delivered Tuesday with free shipping from Bilsteinlifts. So I contacted the dealer for the install since they are only 1 mile from the house. (already knowing it would be more expensive but..) I asked for just an install quote with an alignment. $685 OTD just for labor! The local performance shop is quoting $350 including alignment.... Only issue with them is my appointment for the install is not until Monday the 3rd. Guess I'm waiting.

I paid 6 hrs labor + alignment for my install and all said and done i was around 900$. The cheapest shop around me told me 600$ plus alignment but they were atleast 3 weeks out before I could get in.

$900, ouch, but it looks great! I'm just waiting and have it done right.

35x11.50, 295/65, 285/65 all 20s but that sounds like horrible news. I tried callin CS 2x earlier but it would ring for 10-15 mins no answer

Just picked up my RAM this evening after getting the Bilsteins installed by a local shop. 4 hours labor plus putting on the new wheels and alignment...$373. After reading this, that’s not too bad

Same size I’m wanting.

not sure if you’re aware, the 35x11.5 has 2mm deeper treads and weigh about 7 more pounds than the 295/65/20
