You guys know Eibachs do the same thing as the Bilsteins right? You don’t have to wait. The ride is the same. I’ve had both.

Nobody had Eibachs either. I didn't care but the 5100's came available 1st.

Actually I was going to go the eibach route but they don’t make a rear shock for anything over 1inch rear lift. I want my front and rear shocks to match.

anyway I have my bilsteins. I’m just waiting on my upper control arms to arrive before I install. And now apparently the ridge grapplers are in short supply 🤦‍♂️

To those with the ORP trucks who are getting Bilsteins (or Eibachs) up front, trying to net 3” of front lift over a stock Ram with no ORP, and are changing out their UCAs .. which UCAs are y’all going with?

I have Zone, but there are a bunch of options.

I’m just going with the Mopar UCA from their lift kit

I ordered these and they came super fast, they do go off your VIN# so when they emailed me saying they aren’t the correct part and included a contact number I called them told them they will fit and he sent them out $113 shipped

Just installed my 6112 on setting #8 with oem UCA on my 2021 Laramie 4x4 (non-OWP). Should I change out my oem UCA? or is it OK? Light off roading and hauling my 24 foot trailer is the only thing I really do, mostly it's a commute truck from and to work.

The 5100 is designed to work with stock control arms..... as long as you don‘t go over setting #5 on a ORP truck. I am setting mine to #5 and have a ORP truck.... which is 3” over regular Ram. They are being installed tomorrow morning.

Yeah I only chose to change the UCA with the moose ones because they are so cheap. For another 100 bucks for both of them it gives me a little bit more ball joint travel with the lift. That’s well worth a hundred dollars IMO. But I think you should be good with the bilsteins and stock UCA unless you are really beating the hell out of the truck offroad.

Here are my before/Afters. 2021 Rebel
Before: Factory Bilstein 4600s, ORP
After: Bilstein 5100s setting 5, RL UCA, Icon +1.5" Rear Coil Spring
I put a few hundred miles on it this weekend and it is pretty damn close stock ride. If I am looking for something, i feel like the back end feels slightly looser going around an exit ramp etc. but this could be me digging for something, I only had a few hundred miles on the truck total before this switch. So far I am happy.

Angle doesn't look too bad to me. After market arms may put the angle the other way. As long as the arm clears the spring at full extension id let it.

I was surprised you got a full 1.5" with the rear spring swap. I figured it was +1.5" compared to a stock ram 1500, not the ORG/Rebel spring which already is 1" taller than the regular ram spring. Sweet deal!

Just got back from having them installed. The ride is WAY better than factory! Much more composed. Bumps are barely felt and the rocking back and forth is nearly gone. This thing is going to handle awesome when I do 5160s in the rear and add a Hellwig sway bar. Now, if only I can find a set of 305/55 r20 in stock.

Here is the ball joint angle at setting #5 with factory arms. 97903F9D-8CD1-4726-93C7-6692775C7AA0.jpeg 6D426735-ECF5-4964-93EC-810C11F02943.jpeg

In regards to a looser rear end, install a Hellwig sway bar in the middle setting/hole. You'll never regret it and cleans up the rear end body roll.

Just received my replacement shock today. The bilstein box is in much better shape and has all the parts. Now onto ordering my new tires and getting all installed. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

Ordered full set a couple weeks ago when they were in stock. Guess they ran out before they shipped mine. Pretty disappointed because they were showing in stock when I ordered. Last week the fronts came in and they reached out to tell me they only had fronts and asked if I wanted those shipped, to wait or cancel. I said yeah hell yeah ship them. Just got them today. Now just waiting for uca and the rear 5100s. Then tires.

Did you decide to go with RL, RC or zone UCAs?
