Looking more and more like I’m going with the 6112’s up front. Hate to spend extra money when I don’t do any real off-roading but I’m tired of waiting and the 6112 is probably a better riding shock anyway. Anybody have the 6112’s?
I just put the 6112s on...no regrets at all...dont really do any off-roading, but very happy...money well spent...I was too impatient to wait for the 5160s to come back in stock for the rear, so I did the 5100s with icon 1.5" rear coil springs...

Have any pics? I have my appointment for the 6112s and 1.5 rear in 2 weeks.

5th clip setting with the readylift tophat spacer and their tubular upper control arms...got almost exactly 3.5"lift in the front and 1.5" for the rear

How’s the ride? And did you add bigger tires yet? I have the ORP so the 6112 in the front should give me 2 inches more of lift, according to bilstein chart. Which should level me. I’m thinking about the icon springs on the rear too which would give me a .5 inch rake with rear higher. Which I’m good with.

ordered 2 rear left shocks due to the rights being back ordered till August. the only difference is the reservoir bracket which looks removable so il just flip it around so the branding is on the correct side. 6112s should be here later this week already assembled on clip#8

Think I’m going to do with 5160s in the rear and 5100s in the front just to level it out. Don’t want to replace the factory ORP coil springs with the 6112 one.

Anticipating sucks. Let me know when you get the tires on and how it rides then. What tire are you going with?

got a call from my friends shop that the tires were delivered...295/55r22 toyo at3s...going tomorrow to mount them...they are about 35" tall but less than 12" wide...hopefully won't need much trimming/ modification...will update tomorrow evening with all the details 😀

I have a 2020 Off-Road (ORP) and am trying to understand all the discussion between this thread and the other one that's about 80 pages long. To level my ORP truck it appears as if I can get by with the Bilstein 6112 and nothing else. So why are some of you going with the 6112's up front and the 5160's in the rear? Is it b/c you don't have the ORP?

I won't be off-roading much at all and I only tow a boat for about 5 miles a few times a season. That said I'm not concerned about having to replace the UCA's and don't really care about rake.

Thanks in advance.

They don't make a 6112 for the rear, and the best pairing for the rear is the 5160s. If you won't be going off road at all, I'd go with a cheaper solution up front to achieve a level. I went with the 6112 for performance and to bring up the front a little. I went with clip six on a rebel to keep about .75-1" rake.

Looks like about $732 is the going price. I see that Amazon has these for this price and you can get them in a couple of days. anyone else go this route?

i went through bilstein lifts and for an extra $199 chose to have them assemble them as a complete coilover. this way i can install them myself without using or renting a spring compressor and also allowing me to sell my factory bilsteins as a complete assembly. but yes that's the going price on many websites

got the tires mounted...just needed to remove the factory little mudflap, hammer the mount tab up, and add a screw to keep the liner secure

So for front shocks, the difference in the 6112 and the 5100 is the diameter and the internals of the shock. The 6112 is a better performing shock then the 5100, it cost more too. The 6112 shocks also come with its own coil springs as where the 5100 uses the stock Springs. You can basically achieve the same lift/level with both of them.

I’m considering the 6112 instead of the 5100 because of 2 things. 1 is availability and 2 is I’ve been told the 5100 on the highest setting is a little stiff where as the 6112 has a better ride.
