Is this an updated version of the 5100?
NO
Capture.PNG
  • 6112 increased size > better response on aggressive terrain, or under increased loads.
  • More shock oil maintains lower shock temp > thicker active piston for consistent response under hard hits.
  • 6112 springs help vehicle dampening.
  • 6112 > 5 height settings compared to 3 on the 5100.

Eager to see the pricing on these!

I ran 5100s on my Tacoma and swapped in 6112s a couple of years later and it was a massive upgrade in on and off-road use.

I have 5100s on my Ram now and would be very interested in the 6112 replacement.

How would these compare to say the fox 2.0 coilovers?

Should honestly be better, the 6112 is a 2.5” diameter shock body, so substantially more volume.

I ordered a set of the 6112's through Jack-It today. I was waiting on an order of the 5100's and cancelled those for the front and switched my order to the 6112's because I was already waiting.

I’d definitely be interested in the 6112’s for leveling my Rebel as it’s bone stock right now.

These should work on the non-rebels as well right? What would you pair this with on the rear?
Yes, they will work with all coil setups. They can be paired with any rear set up you prefer but most pair them with either the rear 5100s or 5160s. And last I heard they are not available just yet but should be in the coming next few weeks-early Nov

Should these Bilstein 6112’s be used with UCA’s as well or can they be used alone to level a Rebel? Any advantages? I’d prefer to not stress the ball joints.

Do you have a link? I only see the 2009-2018 kit on their site. Thanks so much.
I don't have a link because I placed the order over the phone after calling and selecting the "customer service" option. I had already ordered 5100's about 6 weeks ago and explained that I wanted to cancel my order because I would rather get the 6112's. The rep asked if I had a part number for the 6112's, which I had just found in the Bilstein catalog (47-293540). She looked it up and said she could order them, so I cancelled the 5100's and added the 6112's to my pending order. She didn't have an ETA on them shipping yet.

Any idea on price?

No, UCAs would not be required with 5100s or 6112s. Honestly I leveled my truck and brought it in for alignment and the tech hardly moved the cams at all. The ball joints are still at a very mild angle.

They cost $699.
