I just emailed him to see if he could better than Ziegler. Otherwise I’ll buy Ziegler Added Care Plus plan

Ok here’s the situation. Just bought a 2019 Big Horn 4x4 5.7l eTorque with level 2 electronics. 21,600 miles.

This is what I see for pricing at 8yr 125k miles. I would be doing the $200 deductible.

Ziegler
Maxcare $3060
Added care plus $1840
Power Train plus $1895

Chrysler warranty Direct
Maxcare $3045
Added care Plus $2130
Power Train Plus $1660

I am not a rich man, I want some peace of mind and I have had one issue with the eTorque in the first week I’ve had this truck. It said service needed then went away.
I am leaning towards buying the Ziegler added care plus. It covers engine, trans, 4x4, steering, cooling, a/c, brakes, suspension, electrical, power seats, and instrumentation.

Any advice or other things to consider?
Those are three different plans to consider. The MaxCare is the most expensive as it covers the most items ("5000+ components" - pretty close to a bumper to bumper warranty), followed by the Added Care Plus ("800+ components"), then the Power Train Plus ("400+ components").

Some states cover the eTorque in the emissions category. I know that my state (CA) does so if I had the eTorque system it would be covered under the 8 years / 80K miles emissions warranty (as long as the GVWR is under 8500 lbs, which the 1500 is).

Even if you don't buy from Ziegler you can give them a call to find out which ones cover your specific items of concern.

Here's a brief description of each:

I just spoke to the Mopar service contract rep. There are no extended warranty plans that cover eTorque at all. The eTorque is covered under factory 8yr 80k mile warranty through emissions like you said.

Talked to him. He beat the Ziegler plan by $15 lol. Still better than nothing.
Don't forget that Ziegler has discount codes:

PAYINFULL for $365 off the plan if you pay for it up front.

DAMON2 for $100 if you finance it over 12 months.

I don't know if the $150 Christmas sale is still going on (as shurik74 mentioned earlier).

Wow!! I plan to pay $500 now and finance the rest so I entered that Damon2 code and it’s actually $200 off! Thank you! I’m getting 8yr/125k ($200 deductible) of the middle tier plan for $1640 that seems like a steal to me.

Added Care Plus (800+ items) is the "middle" plan.

Maximum Care (5000+ items) is the "top" plan and Powertrain Care Plus (400+ items) is the "bottom" plan (see post #363 above).

This is the plan I’m looking at buying. It would be $1640 for 8 year 125k miles with a $200 deductible
I am only getting the max care...if im gonna spend 1600 might as well get the better one for a few bucks more. I just have to wait a bit to recoup and get then under coating done first

Unfortunately the Max care plan wasn’t a few bucks more. It was $1400 more. And I couldn’t justify the $1400 when all the main things like electrical, 4x4, engine and transmission were already covered in the plan I got

It’s not apples to apples. My plan was 125k miles, I wasn’t paying in full and our trucks year and mileage could be way different. That seems like a good deal though I’d buy that.

What an outstanding Price. It amazes me! That is so cheap its a steal. I paid ~2100.00 for it in June 2019 from Ziegler.
