What exactly are you wanting out of your dash cam?

Max clarity. Maybe some dude cuts me off or maybe Big Foot crosses my path - either way I want the video to be ultra crispy. Day, night, slow speed, high speed, all of it. In 2024 there's no reason to ever have blurry footage.

so maybe IMAX gimble mount? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I've had two different ones of these and couldn't be happier.

Initially put it in before FitcamX was a out and saw no reason to switch it up. Not sure if fitcamx has wifi connectivity, but it's nice being able to watch clips on your phone vs removing the SD card.
The only way you can view the camera with FitcamX is on your phones or removing the SD card and using computer. There is no LCD display

I use the Viofo A119 V3 for the front. It comes with a GPS module that will embed speed and GPS coordinates in your video but you can turn each of these off in the settings. I don't have it record my speed.

I really like that if you want to download video I don't have to disconnect the camera or fool with removing the micro SD card. The camera is attached to the GPS module via quick disconnect and the GPS module stays on the windshield connected to the power cable. I just bring the whole camera inside, plug it into my computer and download what I want.

I think to go for the VIOFO A229 Plus 2CH with the hardware kit. As I have the previous one, the A129 Plus duo and it is actually very good one.

These A229 Plus has all the USB C cabling which is super convenient. Sony Starvis 2 IMX675 is not a lot of difference compared to the more expensive A229 Pro with the Starvis 2 IMX678
Good thing is that the rear camera is also a Starvis 2 IMX675 with HDR so ideal behind the tinted backwindow.

A pity that it is only 30 fps instead of the more common 60fps, if you want to use the HDR but you can't have all (so far)
