BedExtenders with Multifunction TailGate

I am having quite a hard time finding bed accessories for the 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel 5'7Box w/o Rambox w/ Multifunction TailGate.

Because its a regular style box without the rambox, the manifacture changed up how you would think a normal tailgate links up to the box think again. They had to modify the back of the box to adapt a pivoting frame for the swinging doors link up to.

Im looking for a bed extender that would be compatible with the multifunction tailgate.
Any help would be good.

I bought an Amp-Research bed extender for our truck with the MFT. Our truck arrives at our house tomorrow so I’ll know very soon. I bought it based on a post I saw elsewhere in here where someone added it without issue. Guess I’ll find out and then pass on the info to ya.

can't you use the BUG bed extender? you just have to buy the posts to mount it i believe... there's a thread on it

Us non ram box owners don’t get the divider even with the BUG.

Added the Amp-Research bed extender today to our Limited that does not have ram boxes and does have MFT. No issue whatsoever and works perfectly. We can even flip it with the stock tonneau cover folded back one spot. Basically showing one side of the install which is identical on the opposite. This would work for any of the extender versions they offer. Yes I know I put the logo on differently and that was by my design.

I want the tie down raising mine....were yours dealer installed or aftermarket? I believe there's a bed divider option for the rails?

Not really understanding your question. The cover and BUG was all part of our truck order. I just added the extender as it’s more practical for our needs and no divider comes with ours since it doesn’t have Ram boxes.

damn autocorrect... meant to say I want the tie down rails on mine. I'm keeping my eye out for the Mopar rails and divider!

Ahhh, gotcha. I do have the factory rails with tie downs also if that is what you’re referring to. Part of the BUG.

Will this work with a soft tonneau cover . I have the truxedo pro x15 and wasn't sure if it would clear the rails?

It works with the factory soft cover so don’t see why it wouldn’t.

Does anyone know if the AMP BedxTender work with the Rebel with RAM Boxes. I have just inherited one and it doesn't seem to reduce enough in width to clear the boxes?

The width of the tailgate opening is the same whether you have the MFT or the traditional tailgate, so it should work fine. Is the one you inherited from a 5th gen Ram 1500?
