Bed Extender with a Power Tailgate

Hi all - I’m interested in getting a bed extender (the kind you flip open and closed from the tailgate) for my 2025 1500 Rebel.
My only concern is how it behaves with a powered tailgate. I’m nervous that if I were to drive with the tailgate down and the extender open, if I were to go over a bump, that might trigger the tailgate to try and close.

Does anyone have any experience with extenders on powered tailgates? If so, any issues and if not, what kind of extender did you get? Thanks.

You can disable power open/close for the tailgate in the uconnect settings

Ahh, got it. I guess I’ve tried to steer clear of the uconnect app as much as possible. I’ll check that out. Thanks.

If it tries to raise automatically and feels any resistance, it stops and goes back down
