Same issue here. I replaced the radiator cap with a Duralast cap from(Autozone), and put a black zip tie on the overflow coming out of the radiator. No more smells!! Been a couple of months now.
Any update? After filling my overflow tank to half way, no more hot antifreeze smell.
Will update if the smell returns.
Not as strong, but It is still there to some degree, like a little wiff.Any update?
Hi @Aviatortroy,Wondering if anyone ever figured out if there is a fix to the coolant catch can or anything? I bought a ‘22 with about 40k miles a month ago and it absolutely reeks of coolant after every drive. Replaced the radiator cap. I pressure tested the cooling system (twice) and it passed fine. Put the UV dye in the coolant and have checked over every inch of the engine bay and radiator areas and it shows nothing. Doesn’t use any coolant either. But it reeks so bad I just about gag walking past the right grill area. I’m seriously thinking about getting rid of it. This is my 3rd Ram going back to the ‘90s and I know my way around them and am totally stumped
