WOW! Its about time! But what's to say if its still an issue on 22 + models? This was released last month on 19-21 DT trucks. Extended warranty on 3rd brake light water leaks. Now we need an extended warranty on back glass.
Look how long it got FCA/Stellantis (or what ever it's called today), to even acknowledge the center mount lightReally need a extended warrenty on the back window. The stop lamp isn't worth taking to the dealer for them to spend days diagnosing, I can fix that myself.
If you look at the bulletin you'll see it says it's because of "degredation of the gasket material". They redesigned the gasket at some point (I'm guessing it was after December 2020). So anything that was built with the revised CHMSL gasket isn't covered. At least that's how I'm interpreting it.Wonder why they didn't extend the bulletin/warranty into the 22 and 23 model years.....
They have had multiple TSB's on the lamp. But yeah they just now acknowledged it.Look how long it got FCA/Stellantis (or what ever it's called today), to even acknowledge the center mount light
IS an issue and warranty it. How many years has that been an issue?
Yeah, the center mount stop light is about $32 DIY
I was going to replace the gasket on my 22 with MD Marine weatherstripping like others have. After I took the screws out it became obvious that it's stuck on pretty firmly. I would have had to get a pry tool to remove it. I decided to leave it be.If you look at the bulletin you'll see it says it's because of "degredation of the gasket material". WHAT ? ? ? ?Found the headliner wet on my 2020 Rebel last week. Dealer confirmed it was the seal around the rear window (not a cracked frame). My 3yr/60k warranty expired on June 23rd, still under 60k on the odometer. At first, dealer refused to cover under my factory warranty or my 5yr/100k extended warranty. After some negotiations, dealer agreed to replace the window under warranty.
Hello, I'm new here and am having the same issue as the others are with leaking rear window frame. I paid extra money for a extended warranty, just to be told by my dealer its not covered. This is my first chrysler vehicle, from changing from chevy to a RAM. Im in Pennsylvania, and lately have had an unusual amount of rain, jist to be frustrated by not able to place my passengers in the back seat, because of a wet back seat. I also must say, chrysler dealerships are not as accommodating as other brands... Now back to my dilemma. What can i do as a customer, other than stuff silicone into my back glass? Is there something im missing, or is my dealership pulling my leg about my warranty, or is RAM doing something that the dealerships are not honoring? I have a 2019 Big Horn with 66k and worried that a leak will grow mold, fry my device behind my seat,or create rust in areas exposed to water from the inside. Please advise on a solution or a course of action to takeSorry to hear you are experiencing this, we certainly understand why this would be concerning. If you end up addressing this with your local dealer, please let us know via PM. We'd be more than happy to provide you with an additional layer of assistance for that process.

May I do the same Lex? My 2019 has been fine for years, but this week my wife pointed out water stains on the headliner in both corners by the rear windows. I would like to know what the TSB covers, if being out of warranty matters or not, etc.Hello there,
We are sorry to hear that you are also experiencing this concern. There is currently a TSB out regarding this leak that may apply, depending on model year. We would be glad to get you connected to a specialist for some further assistance.
If you'd like to discuss this via private message, please send us a PM with the date of your most recent appointment and the last 8 of your VIN. Thank you.
