i have a 2019 ram1500 with the 8.4 screen and had some questions. apple car play will connect just fine but my android wont. i get that error 8 connection screen on my phone. i tried all the google fixes and they dont work. i finally got a hold of uconnect and they told me it was way out of date and needed updating. called dealer and they said they updated it but before i could leave dealer i tried it and still same thing. they kept it for 2 more days and pretty much told me they dont know what the problem is and sorry for my bad luck. im stuck with it now. i cant even charge my phone bc it says the error then stops charging it. anyone know anything that could fix it? dealer says its up to date but nothing is fixed. tried new cord the two button thing on dash nothing works. any help would be awesome thanks

Disconnect battery for 15 minutes should reset everything. Make sure android is up to date and all permissions are allowed. Also...make sure you're using an authentic USB cable that came with the phone, not some crappy Amazon cable....it does make a difference.

My issue was the cable. I bought a new better quality cable, and it worked after that. Good luck!

yeah i tried all kind of different cords and nothing works. problem is every cord i use no matter the quality iphones work but not andoids
