thanks to all of you, for the help. so figured out that having the NR28 in order to update it to the PR39 i needed to update to the LR34 first.

That is correct, i was already on LR34 when i began and also read in previous post that you would beed to start there in order to get the PR39 update to take.

I noticed that on the gauge cluster, there is now a blank screen on the #4 setting (one click below the off-road setting on my menu). Anyone know what this should be and if we can somehow enable it?

I have the same thing. Not sure what that's for but I bet Jimmy07 knows.

USB has to be less then 32GB and formatted FAT32. 16GB is best.

Just updated my ‘19 12” with PR 39.7 (previously LR 34.2) and added the Off-Road and Performance pages. I started the engine and left it running for the entire process. Using a 16GB Sandisk formatted to FAT32, the software update took about 23 minutes as others have stated.

My pickup has the Off-Road Group, so VehConfig2-Off-road Capable was already set to YES. I performed the ECU hard reset twice, let it sit for a few minutes, came back and had the added pages. I also have two of the Off-Road pages apps as others have mentioned. One of the Off-Road pages app does not show an outline of the axles in Vehicle Dynamics, while the other app does show the outline of the axles, but the steering angle and front axle icon moves opposite to the direction I turn the wheel, which I find pretty comical.

EDIT: After letting it sit for a couple hours, it seems to have corrected itself and now the front axle icon and steering angle match the direction I turn the wheel.

I had the wheel cranked to the left in this picture.

The steering angle in the Performance pages app reads correctly though, not sure what causes the discrepancy.

Overall pretty pleased with the update. Highly recommend going this route vs. a dealership. I’ve already noticed a few changes with the radio software just playing around with things, and it seems more responsive. I doubt I’ll ever seriously use the additional pages, but they’re cool to look at and nice to have.

Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (side-loaded the Google Play Store to access AlfaOBD)

I have no use for them either but after all this talk, I logged in last night and added both the performance and Off-road pages.
I was hoping to see them this morning when I drove to work but they still haven't populated.
Maybe for my drive home tonight...

8.4 UCV updated to the latest QR 39.6 (2020 1500 sport)

This has added some extra pages to my radio. I had enabled off-road and performance pages before I installed the update. With in minutes the pages showed up once the update was complete.

Here are some screen shots. As of right now the performance pages so unavailable, not sure if they will show up ever but will check again in a few hours or tomorrow. Maybe it’s a hardware issue, maybe my truck doesn’t have what is needed for the page.

Have not seen any updates to the gauge cluster/evic. I do not see a “off road” tab listed as I scroll through.

8.4 with Nav. I had to ask someone on another forum to help with the file access. I have the files that will take you to 34.23 and then to 39.6. I am not sure if the files I have will work for any one else as I am not sure of the model of radio I have. I would be happy to share but am not taking responsibility for anyones radio that gets bricked or the update does not work.

*Files look to be for UAV and UCV radios (Nav versions)

Don't know if it was part of update, but I don't remember it before, but the media screen, when using the split screen has a second page to it now to switch between media sources versus having to go to the full screen media page.

Mine had it before, but I wasn't on a very old release.
