We appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us! Recently there was a Technical Service Bulletin (24-001-19) that appears to address concerns similar to the symptoms that you are having with your vehicle.
It’s getting done on Monday. I will report what I find. Thanks for posting but that is an older TSB about a software reflash to the HVAC programming. That came out in Feb 2019. You were mentioning actual o-ring/seal replacement work that was done, which is not covered in TSB 24-001-19.
It's the o-ring/seal work that is new and of interest.
I also live in Arizona. I have been following the 2019 issues from the beginnng and I test drove them and decided I would wait and see how the new model issues were addressed. Well many of the issues have been corrected except the poor air conditionong. Last week my dealer called me and gave me a fantastic deal on a Limited. I told him I would be there tommorow. I drove it and I was happy we had a deal. Took the limited for a test drive and I had my thermomiter with me. First on the driver side and after 15 minutes it only got to 64 degees. Passenger side 56. Outside temp was 95. Cabin never cooled down after 20 minutes. Salesman agreed with me there was a problem. When we pulled back in to the dealership we went right to the service manager and said they deal with issue on a case by case basis but they really don' have a fix. I told the salesman I really like thr Ram but I will wait for the 2020's to come out and if they have not resolved the AC issue I would have to buy another brand. I am really disapointed that I might have to pass the Ram up because of an AC issue. My friend bought a Longhorn last summer and loves the truck but he says the AC sucks and after 3 trips to the dealer with no fix he is looking at going back to Ford.I'm in Arizona. We are hitting 110°F already and summer is just beginning. I can confirm the valve makes a huge difference.
Not surprised this is happening, especially in locations where the summer months are really hot. As great as the Ram is otherwise, a poorly performing AC can be a deal breaker.I also live in Arizona. Yeah bad AC is no joke out here. Good on you for waiting. If more people roll into the dealers and test drive with thermometers that could be a way to get more attention.I also live in Arizona. There is a thread with factory specs on here somewhere....including temp performance at various ambient temperatures... you might also look at posts for blender door adjustmentWell, dropped my Ram off at the dealer for a couple of issues this week, one of them was poor A/C performance. I realized I've had my A/C on "lo" temp and recirc almost since I bought it, which is not normal. I've also noticed that the air coming out of the vents when on non-recirc feels a bit humid/clammy. My best comparison was today, as I drove the base nissan loaner back to them and then my own truck home, the A/C in the Nissan felt better.
Dealer said "system was performing to spec" and I didn't have time to deal with them. It does look like they took the caps off the pressure lines under the hood. Any other ideas? Seems like I'm going to have to get a temperature probe and find another 2019 in person to do a side by side with. Trouble is, it isn't a deal-breaker, it isn't actually "broken", it just does not feel as good as my 2011 Ram. (or as any new high $ vehicle should)
Anyone have a way to find out what the temperature differential should be?
Looks like the pressure is building. TFLTruck just did a comparison video. Ford wins!
Thanks for Posting
Okay FCA "the heat is on"
