Aftermarket Amp and 12” sub install in a HK LIMITED!

This fuse panel is not hard to get to. Just remove 2 screws and the cover pops off. If he tried to access it underneath without removing the cover then....

These are micro2 fuses. and they also use mcase cartridge type in this box.

That box had to be a nightmare to cut. Think they sell me one ?

Sure! You can buy anything for the right price! Call them up High Fidelity Auto Sport of Newington CT, talk to the owner KANE 860-666-8080.

My box was intricate because that's a 12" sub and we needed .85 cubic feet. a 10" or 2 8" subs requires less airspace and doesn't need to go past the middle bracket like mine does.

Upholstery shop update.

My local upholstery shop which is covering this box in black Vinyl with gray piping and white double stick to mimic stock 19 Limited black leather is having some difficulty pulling off the design.

What do you guys think of the emblems and their placement ? Too much?

Should be complete tomorrow ! 7F68BC53-4CD1-4CBA-93EB-E0C20B69F92E.jpeg59CD7F22-3D8C-40D3-9A83-5F899DB76D9C.jpegD7AB96CD-83D1-4130-AD3B-15604D2989F4.jpeg1E13B59F-9C2C-4D56-BC81-9F4CA885AC57.jpeg7F68BC53-4CD1-4CBA-93EB-E0C20B69F92E.jpeg59CD7F22-3D8C-40D3-9A83-5F899DB76D9C.jpegD7AB96CD-83D1-4130-AD3B-15604D2989F4.jpeg1E13B59F-9C2C-4D56-BC81-9F4CA885AC57.jpeg7595C4E7-4273-464B-966C-4897B11D956B.jpeg

BTW that limited emblem is a Toyota part! Shhhh (The actual RAM one is separate letters and was too large)

I love this, clean set up. I'm a die hard JL audio guy. I had two of these 12s u have in a custom center console in my ram 4th gen. They pounded hard. This is gotta sound good

Fanc944, I swear you are an "Audio Angel" sent from the Heavens to answer my prayers! I grew up with JL audio going back a good 12-15 years when I had 2 12" w3s on a 500x1 jl with a 300 x 4 powering my MB Quartz, and then had a 12" W7 powered by the 1000 x1 installed for 3 days until i had to remove it due to possible frame warp and windshield blowout on my 200o toyota celica gts. Oh the good old Days !! I have been wanting to install a 12w3t-v2 with 500 x 1 in my Ram for months and have only thought it to be a fantasy thought Up Until Just now when I came across your post!

A few Questions for you

1 - Would you be willing to build that box for me? no upholstery just the mdf box with cutout for speaker terminal... (I pay well and i tip :)
2 - Does the low end from the sub drown out the mids/Highs of the stock component speakers? ( I know the rear door speakers on the 10 speaker alpine system in my Longhorne are extremely underpowered and sound like junk...)
3 - There is a post on this site inattempt to upgrade the stock components and they ended up having a horrible experience with the ANC and Exhaust note through the speakers being overbearing at around 2500-4500 rpm. I know you mentioned you had minimal issues with ANC leaking through the low end frequencies from the JL correct?
You have offically ignited the spark from within with providing tangible proof of my jl specific fantasy audio upgrade! Fanc you are the man

1. I did the design and engineering.

See above for contact info for the shop that built. I suggest you contact Kane at High Fidelity Auto Sports of Newington CT

2. The low end from the sub is punchy and solid ! The software flash from the dealer (also see above ) made all the difference in getting more highs n mids.

The JL remote gain control knob allows me to adjust the sub for any song or type of music - that’s important to me.

I had a 2013 longhorn with the alpine and I used a similar set up. No issues. I don’t sit in the back seat. Highs are in your eyes!

3. DO NOT UPGRADE STOCK SEPARATES! You have to install resistors and the stock components are so good honestly you would need to spend tons of money to top it. And a 4 channel amp isn’t enough! You would need way more separate channels for all the component locations to do it justice .

As for ANC I can’t even tell it’s there. There is just a little hum at low volume and I think it might be that but it’s really not noticeable.

Good evening, i know that the noise cancellation question has been asked here a few times, i have not seen an answer yet. Hoping any of you can provide a concrete answer.
I have a ‘19 Laramie that i upgraded the door speakers and added a 12” woofer and an amp. Unfortunately, the ANC kicks in while im driving even with the stock market woofer Disconnected. Does anyone know which wire has to be removed in order from preventing the ANC from kicking in?

What the system
Is doing now, only when im
Driving, the aftermarket subwoofer base will sound even if the radio is turned off.

Any help will
Be greatly appreciated.
