It was about 83° today and put my AC on max (not recirculating) and LO. Results were between 47-55°

Not good. Going to take it in. What about everyone else?

There are multiple threads about A.C. concerns..take a moment and use the search function at the top right of the page and you'll find a lot of information.

im interested in this also did a search with not much

Pretty disappointing. I know all manufactures have issues but I mean- do European vehicles as much as FCA? I would say probably not in my opinion

I did search, it didn’t result in any hits. “AC Temps” “A/C” “AC” “Air conditioning” were either too short or not found. Try adjusting the search engine.

Same here, hence why I posted.

Thanks.

Wow, I would love to get 47 on my AC. The best I got on Max AC was 65 drivers side, 57 on passenger side.

That first link offered up by @202snowman includes an FCA chart showing the specification for AC vent temps depending on outside air temp, at post #6. According to that chart your system is performing very close to spec for temps above 80 degrees. I’m not trying to tell you what you should be happy/unhappy about, but if the techs get the same measurements you should be prepared for that answer.

Some systems are clearly performing below standards. Yours may be one of them, so perhaps the vent temp doesn’t tell the whole story, but you’ll have to explain it to the service techs to give them something to troubleshoot. Good luck.

My 2016 Rebel was cool, but never cold. I was told that's the new Freon that is being used today.

My wife's 2017 BMW X3 gets down to 42 on 90+ degree day. This was taken the same day as the one above... This tells me it is not the new freon.

The best temp I have gotten at the center vent on max A/C has been 54 degrees. Took it to the dealer and was told Freon was a little low. Evac and recharge the system , but no difference. Disappointing after spending a lot of money on a new Rebel.

I guess That I will be having the same results with my new 19 as my 16, cool but never cold.

Just picked my new Limited up this week. Hot outside /hot inside. Wife won’t ride in hot truck. Had to drive with windows down /back glass open in a 67K truck. This truck won’t last long in my driveway at this rate. #shouldhsvegotanotherf150

You should have ! They are trouble free, check the forums my friend!

You are correct syddog 2000. Just check my signature and I think you can figure it out.

I am getting similar numbers between 45 and 55 , I will test my Lexus today to see the difference, also I am planning to ceramic tint all windows and sunroof, try to touch sunroof after the car under sun for couple hours it is burning!

Hi Everyone,

As of today, 2/15, there has been a TSB released that sounds similar to the concerns that you are describing. As the Customer Care Team, we are unable to diagnose your vehicle and confirm that this will apply to your Ram, however, we highly recommend that you discuss the following Technical Service Bulletin with your servicing Ram dealer:

TSB 24-001-19:
